- The Mercedes G550 4x4 Squared is impressive and huge. But with prices ranging from $215,000 to $300,000, is there a better way? Well, yes! We picked up this 2015 Mercedes G63 for around $80,000 and added the new Vivid R acing lift kit for $5k! What we got is a savings of nearly $150k and still a huge beast over the stock looking Hollywood Blvd cruiser.

As another pointed out... the rims... ugg.... but the owner wanted a mall crawler so that is what they got. That aside, I like the lift and tire size. I also like how it is still not super wide like the Squared beasts. I like the Squared, but realistically in a wooded area with smaller trails they would simply be a beast. If I wanted a wide vehicle like that I would go for a built H1 so you don't have both width AND height to worry about on the trails. This type of lift really hits a sweet spot for usability in real world situations.

But the computer will go all out of wack!!! I had 24" installed ,the speed is wrong and the computer threw all kind of errors when turning .. i put stock wheels back and the truck is happy
We actually didn't experience any trouble codes or issues with the lift kit and larger wheels.

Is there any way to get a spare tire this size on the back? Or is the back spare tire now obsolete with the lift?

Do they make a bigger lift kit for it to be the same size as a 4x4
Anything is possible since it has solid axles. Agency Power only has this one setup.

Wimbleys Mobile Wash I’m. Ot sure if you would need portals or changes with the axle.
You have to drop the transfer case mount 3/4" if you want to go higher because the front driveshaft will start to hit the crossmember with extreme angle. I've got a bolt in 6" lift kit. Looking for a retailer.
Yes they do. Someone did a lift on the new 2020 g63 since the 4x4 squared is discontinued. So the new 2020 lift was done using aftermarket portal Axels u can’t really tell it’s not a squared. But with new tech and design the lift came out amazing.

What's the highest possible lift for the g wagon?
This is with out doing something custom using Portals.

This tuning good for Toyota and jeep but for this kind of vehicle you must have Real lift and not fake it’s called portal axel MAN.
This is ok for what it is being used for.

Maybe to you be not to the people who can afford the vehicle.
The 22 inch wheels are all wrong. 18 or 17 inch wheels would be the best for this rig. Keep the tires at 35. This way when you let the air out on the trail you have enough rubber on the road to get out of trouble.
If it was purpose built for off-roading we would ideally choose smaller wheels and larger tires 🙌🏼
