I really enjoyed watching this. It brought back a lot of memories of my family candle shop. So many hours making candles, wicks, and working with molds. It was all just family, and loved selling them at craft fairs. Good times! :)

That's so cool about making candles and the intent of them. I didn't know that candles burning with the herbs could be used for protection. But I'm new.
I love watching candles burn when it's dark in a room. It reminds me of a camp fire. And is so calming to me.
I had been thinking about making candles lately from beeswax. But not sure about how to melt it and with what.
Today I've been in pain so that project was saved for later.
I think it's cool that I find this video after thinking about the subject.
Thanks for demonstrating your first try.💚

    Video request!
How to incorporate a pagan belief into your witchcraft, when you're not working with deities?
    Context :
I have been doing intuitive magic for all my life, and now I am starting to explore my native folklore and norse paganism/nordic mythology in general. Therefore I realized that I have practiced witchcraft all my life without knowing it, and now I wanna get into doing it much more intentionally - at the same time I want to do it more in line with my new life as a norse pagan. Since I only just started on both of these paths, I wanted to hear your thoughts on the matter, please? 🙏

As a candle maker I must say please don't put herbs or burnables in your candle. These can quite often catch on fire and can burn uncontrollably. I know candles like this look nice but it is a huge safety hazard. Stick with fragrance oils! Also some crystals with shatter and explode when placed near heat like a candle flame so keep anything that is not wax, fragrance, and wick out of your candles! Otherwise you'll be hard pressed to find any insurance that will cover damage due to dangerous candles

I’m a candle maker and business owner and have never had an issue with herbs and flowers in my candles in the last year so I think you’ve never tried it or you just don’t know, there are millions of people doing it and manifesting so don’t spread your opinion spread facts. To comment on your video about that antique table: DONT BUY FROM ANTIQUE STORES! They usually carry energy and as you experienced its not good. You have to follow the paper trail of items inside antique stores ie where did it come from? Who owned it? Where was it made? Most of the time however you may mot find out so its best to just leave those places alone.

  • @QuiescentMind3
    @QuiescentMind3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You mentioned still learning on your candle magic path. I'm curious if you have tried (or thought of) a wood based wick to get more of a crackle from the candle?
I've always been drawn to candles, and really well the flame for that matter, but candles due to the cleansing fragrance. So I found this video really comforting and informative. The engineer in me also immediately went into 'how to make this better' mode. I've recently begun starting down my Pagan path, trying to find a niche where I might more closely align. I definitely am nature based, maybe more so than most, as the only place I really feel 'at home' is out in the woods. Which is where my mind immediately went to, with candle magic. Bringing the outdoors in. That snap and crackle of a wood fire would promote a remembrance and gratitude toward the flame, which is serving your intention(s). There is a lot about our lives that simple placebo effects have a way of enhancing (intentions). Might be something to think about as a way to level up a particular candle, because as it burns you would keep being reminded of its presence even more so than by scent alone.

I have made myown candles for 50 years. I collect old candle wax and melt it down. I use and old sausepan i wont use again for food and just melt it.
And put in a mould with a metal centree, once formed take out centre. Use string for wick. Pour a little wax in centre in stages once set you have a candle.
I use a bog roll for a mould this gets dumped after use.
    Hope it helps

I love watching your videos, they're so peaceful and they also inspire me to do things that have gotten away from me in the past few, extremely busy/stressful, years. I'm watching this one on a cloudy/dreary Saturday morning, everyone in my house is still asleep or at work, and sitting here watching you craft and sipping my coffee...I can't put into words how relaxing and how much peace it brings to me, plus, oddly enough, it's makes me motivated to (of all things) work on my house de-cluttering so I can get back to doing the things I love to do. Thank you so much for sharing and for all of your time and effort that goes into your videos, I truly do appreciate you and what your videos bring into my own life.

i got into making candles beginning of this year but getting it to burn all the way through evenly was hard. Trying to get the ratio of wax to oil correct for the container is hard. Also if the container has a wavy side or changes shape on the top vs the bottom it can impact how will it burns. I tried to use the used glass yogurt jars but it wouldnt keep burning . Ill have to experiment with them again .

This video was confirmation for me. I have been following my intuition primarily in my spiritual journey, and I felt the urge to add rosemary to my white candle. I know rosemary is good for protection, as I burn it often for cleansing, but I haven't ever formally done a protection spell. I felt like this was probably a protection spell, so this video hardcore confirmed that I'm headed in the right spiritual direction. 🥰✨🌿🍂🍃🕯

Thank you so much for this gorgeous inspiration! I have a question :Are fragrances essential oils or synthetic oils? I'm super curious to hear experience on this. I learned that essential oils aren't really good for making scented candles. Or is the oil for infusing the magic, but not for scent? I learned, that's because they get too hot and burn and also evaporate too quickly (and you would need a lot to smell it). I haven't tried it myself though so I'de love some feedback on this from others :-)

    QUERY FOR ASSISTANCE PLEASE…
I inherited my mother’s antique traveling buddha statue. He is very old and made of ironwood, with gold wire inlay and ivory eyes & teeth. He became her friend and she would talk to him as her dementia took over. In her lucid moments, I told her I would take care of him. There have been some interesting moments around him. We recently moved and he was just unpacked this evening. Suggestions for which video/s of yours to keep “him” calm? I don’t have time or energy for his shenanigans right now. I did pick up some smudge sticks a few days ago, and some amber resin. (My other “things” are still buried in the pile of cardboard boxes we’re still unpacking.)

I would love an explanation as we have seen figures , black pop up faces that quickly dissappear, animals that move too quickly that was in a house where there were no animals . Heard ours names constantly called ( womans voice always)
It doesn't freak us out but would like to know what it is .
We are not all mad haha.

Babe you should learn that your aura is your protection. If you see a demon walk toward it without fear. Be willing to FIGHT. The fight of love. Take power back, nothing can make you afraid if you refuse. Feel full faith in god that the darkness is not powerful. That is the protection spell. Not being afraid is the only real protection. Demons will mock little spells like this lol they are feeding off energy … the only way to rid yourself is to really have faith that live is more powerful than fear. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself …

In color choices, do you want it to reflect, absorb, or destroy negativity, or even send it back to the source. Sending back is powerful because the cause of the negativity or attack will be hit by thier own. In absorbing with a black candle burn it all the way and do not re use it. A small one to destroy what was absorbed so as to not keep it around. Strategy is key to good self defense, or even healing as well. Remember keep what you like, always rid yourself of what you do not like.

The worst sickness and 24 hours I could not get up I could not move my cat was with me and then my head my whole body was held down and I could hear this horrible creature and all I could do was call on the archangels you know Jesus I couldn't call my mom for help it was the worst experience of my life that boosted my obsession for mastering herbal protection and led me to even more tools and finding people that can teach you and give you recipes to Shield your life my advice to you is to get rid of that table there's always something better

Some options to avoid the rattling sound are a rolled up towel in the bottom of the pan, a metal rack if you have one that fits in the bottom of the pan, canning jar rings in the bottom of the pan. Basically you just need something to lift it off the bottom of the pan.

I always see people put the herbs on top. Why not mix it into the melted wax so that they are throughout the candle?

Lovely 💕.. we all need a protection candle.. I was so worried you was going to burn yourself heating the wax!!
Phew! Thank goodness you didn't ( my mum head )
Beautiful candle and herbs. May do them as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Thank you 💕

Had to watch this video twice, the second one simply to focus on the patter of the rain... who knew what could make your voice more soothing than it already is ?
Seriously, I am so envious that you had three days in a row of what seemed like steady rain, working on your spell candle beside that huge window to boot. What a sublime opportunity to just chill and soak in that kind of... well... magic.
