I recently recorded my next album at Hansa Studios in Berlin, a truly magical experience that brought months of planning, rehearsing, and reflection to life. Hansa, known for hosting legends like Bowie and Coldplay, carries an incredible history, and walking into its inviting atmosphere was unforgettable. This project feels like the start of a new chapter for me, with the album featuring eight deeply personal reworked songs, all recorded in single takes over the course of one day. The process was guided by Michael Watts, whose invaluable support as producer kept me focused and grounded.
Having self-recorded and produced my music for over two decades, this experience felt transformative. Using legendary equipment like vintage U67 and RCA44 microphones alongside my Åstrand guitar was a dream come true, and the difference in sound quality was undeniable. This album was entirely self-funded and self-organized, a testament to hard work, planning, and collaboration. I hope it inspires other musicians to realize their own visions!
