    Definitely the best video on this I've seen. I'm changing mine tomorrow and I was a little worried, but this is such a simple explanation. Thanks so much!!!

      Unbelievably simple. Your instructions were spot on. I'm fairly mechanically inclined, but car parts can scare me a bit. The whole process took less than an hour and that includes a trip to AutoZone for some new hose clamps!

    Is the radiator for the manual 1.8 any different than the automatic?

    • @tonytorques
      @tonytorques  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It should be the same, you can leave the bottom ports exposed since it won’t use the transmission cooler on the manual. No coolant or anything flows through those so you could use the automatic radiator unless the parts store made one specifically for the manual. Usually not the case since it saves them money only seen it make a difference on Subarus

    Anyone know how to make sure you Order the right radiator for this car? Mine's a 2004 1.8 and I can't read the label, nor can i find any site that show how to order by Radiator part number. I just don't want to order one and find it is the wrong part.

    Question: at about 1:40 into the video, when you removed the transmission fluid hose at the bottom, how much transmission fluid did you lose? Is there still transmission fluid in the radiator? Did you have to add transmission fluid back after the job was completed due to fluid loss? If so, how much?
    Thank you for your help!

    • @tonytorques
      @tonytorques  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I didn’t lose much! I had to top it off with about a quarter of a quart (1/16” of a gallon) so barely anything but I did face the hoses upwards immediately after removing them that way minimal fluid is lost 🤙🏽 no problem! Please like and subscribe to show your support (:

    Hey, I'm currently doing this replacement and for the life of me I can't remember where the two transmission lines in at the bottom lead to. Is there any specific spot they lead to because I don't see anything that'd look like a hose would connect to it.

    • @tonytorques
      @tonytorques  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not entirely sure, did you remove them from the transmission itself? Cause they just go into the radiator ports at the bottom and back to the transmission on the other end
