Hi Maia! I use the chalk pastel pencils for a baselayer or i use them for coloring grayscale. Use them with verry light pressure on the dark spaces and work them out into the light. With normal pencils you can make details, so beautifull! Thanks for showing this because you can use it for coloring!
Maia!!! Another wonderful video, very informative. I got the dream coloring for kids book, you enabler 😂, I opened the book and I’m totally overwhelmed, it’s very busy, eeekkk!!! Love from your friend in the UK 😊
Oh no !!! Ya its very busy !! But put it away for a while and come back to it in 6 months, you might feel completely different about it ! Sending love back , from here in California !
Lol hilarous !! You guys crack me up ❤❤❤❤ ya i thought i was an interesting choice for the cover art ! I would have liked a beautiful forest scene with lots of those beautiful browns.
If the star rating follows the same as other pencils with star ratings I've seen, then MORE stars means LESS lightfast. So that means the purple is very lightfast, but most of them seem to be 4-5 stars (aka not lightfast). (And if this isn't the case, I have a bone to pick with these chinese manus for doing the stars however they want... but I think they do it this way precisely to make ppl think they are very lightfast when they're not.)
Oh thanks for letting me know, i dont look much into lightfast ratings because i color in books that close and never see the light of day. I dont know much about lightfast ratings as a result, although i know crayola supertips are very not lightfast becasue i sometimes leave my swatch chart on my desk and i noticed that they have started fading, some more than others.

Oh wow really? Thats so cool to hear! I don’t know many colorists that do that! Do u fix them after u do the details with the pencils on top?
@@coloredbymaia6476 Yes i do. I use a fixing spray.
