Amazing Grace Anthem… exactly!!! And yes - I’m relatively new to his channel - but he can sing anything!!!
Who knew a 250-year-old hymn needed metal? Apparently this 33-year old Brazilian metal singer did. He worked for years to develop the power and range and techniques of his voice and put it into this beautiful song. He has stated he is a Christian (Methodist) and put this out for Easter. He has well over 200 videos out there spanning nearly 10 years; much of his work is secular in nature. You may want to check out "Adeste Fideles" and "Angels We have Heard on High" for a start. Everything he does is fire. Dan Vasc sings this as though he is St. Michael slaying demons while praising the Almighty. I'm convinced that archangels sing metal.

Dan’s father, who passed away from cancer in 2017, gave him a harmonica when he was 7 years old. He said that his dad used to walk around the house playing the harmonica. I think it is perfect in his rendition of Amazing Grace. He also plays the harmonica in his cover of Loch Lomond which is filmed outdoors with his childhood friend, Gabriel and his brother Davi behind the camera filming.

Dan is from Brazil and has a band named Fearless. His brother and two of his friends are in it. His father was Italian and his mother is Brazilian. He does all his own recording, usually in his garage, and all his music is free use, so there aren’t any copyright issues and can be played without the stuff they usually put reactors through. He can sing anything from Disney to Broadway, metal to classical. You’re going to enjoy your trip

I absolutely LOVE Dan's interpretation of this classic and beloved hymn!! He's got so much vocal and breath control! IMHO, he's the best tenor out there right now! The harmonica really gets me, too because my precious Granny played it beautifully. As I grew up we'd gather around the piano as a family, I'd play (and sing alto or 2nd soprano) and she'd play harmonica, while the rest of the family joined in. Priceless memories! The way he brings out the inner harmonies and builds each "layer" so carefully is absolutely captivating!!I truly believe that all of Heaven stopped to listen when Dan sung this! God put him here to give people hope during these tumultuous times when there is so much fear, hatred, and despair in the world. Thank you for your opinion on this! I've heard this performed thousands of times throughout my lifetime and can say that he knocks it out of the ballpark!! Your closed eyes throughout listening spoke so much to my heart. I loved your reverent, then joyfully surprised expressions. Been toddling after reactions to this for six months and have found wonderful channels. Dan unthinkably melded metal and gospel, caused a harmonica to mimic bagpipes and created a believer’s power anthem from an old hymn. This Dan magic is found in so many of his other covers, he is just beyond talented. Thank you for sharing the joy of first listens, I loved it. Subbing. 😊

Turning pop songs into metal, you've got to listen to "Pokerface" or his duet with Violet Orlandi on "Kiss From a Rose," one of my very favorites. I like both better than the originals.
I could go on and on. There are just so many gems that will blow your socks off, like "Black Wind, Fire, and Steel" with guest bassist, the amazing Luis Mariutti.
To hear Dan's band, Fearless, check out his duet with Fabio Leone on "Dawn of Victory." That'll get your heart pumping!
Dan is phenomenal. He turns 34 in a few days. He hears the metal version of a song in his head, then does the cover arrangement and orchestration. He sings all his own backup, then records himself performing in front of 3 cameras in his garage. Dan edits and mixes the songs himself. He's so talented! And that voice!

I binged listened to his music for, well I still do some days, almost 2 days straight without stopping. That’s how much his voice and music meant to me. One of his favorite bands is Petra which is a Christian rock/metal band and they are still going in their 70’s. Keep reacting.

I have been listening to his cover for a couple of months now and boy oh boy. He just "sprinkles" the metal in appropriate places. He is a Christian from Brazil. The harmonica is brilliant, it gives it a Celtic feel. I live down the street from a Catholic Church and I hear this song on the bagpipes often. Also, for myself and many others, who are recovering from addictive disorders in 12 Step programs we revere this song. Whether we are religious or not. It's about salvation. Blessings...

Really loved your reaction. Dan has an extensive list of songs that he covers. Any that you choose to react to will be awesome. One of his early influencers is Petra, a pioneer rock/Christian band. He's from Brazil and the harmonica he plays is a gift from his father who passed away in, I think, 2017. His bands name is Fearless and they do play in some of his videos.

I think (my opinion) that Dan is somewhat of a musical genius! He does all of his own arrangements, shows tremendous imagination and versatility. He is the clearest singer, of his type, that I've ever heard.... even when he is using his screaming/singing voice. Somply put.... he is just unbelievable.
