This game is so expensive now! I got one from Mercari for 170 bucks which was the cheapest I could find with everything in the ps2 box. It’s so fun tho had to snag before the price becomes too expensive o.o Amazing❤ game tho
Absolutely WORTH it! Although.. emulation is a free solution should you ever need it! Remember there’s always an alternative solution to spending big cash!
Hey dude!! It REALLY is weird! I come from playing Tekken & Mortal Kombat so this was a ride! You gotta play through the “Arcade” mode to accumulate currency, that currency is then spent in the store found in options I think 🤔 you unlock skins, maps & characters! A little hint though, finish the arcade once or twice and in between when you need a break? Leave your characters idle in “practice mode” overnight if possible, when you leave the practice mode you’ll have like four or five arcade runs worth of points to spend! I hope this helps! 🤟🏻
@@SlipNoodles Hey thanks for responding! Only problem is I'm playing an emulated arcade version, I don't think there is an "options" a "practice mode" ?? So I'm wondering how characters were/are unlocked on arcade units?
@@LastBastian That’s.. actually a very good question 😯 the version I’m playing here is the PS2 EU version! the arcade versions typically come first so their genuinely may not be an options mode to toggle or shop system! Man it’d be killer if you could record footage for the arcade version! The differences could majorly effect how you get characters etc, I’m almost certain they’d be unlocked already so paying customers could just pay & play without hassle? 🧐
@@SlipNoodles Yeah, I'm trying to figure it out. Mine seems to be a Japanese arcade version. The hidden character slots are there with the question marks, but I've no idea how they get unlocked? lol There are no points or shop as far as I can tell. I tried looking on the internet, but the only thing I found was a really old Reddit saying something about a hidden clock, and maybe things are unlocked the longer the game is played. Sounded like maybe it took months for the extra characters to get unlocked at an arcade where the game is being played all the time!?!? Crazy, if that's the case!

I'm literally so tempted to emulate this arcade version you're playing, no points.. no shop and the characters are still locked? there must be a way though! otherwise surely they'd remove them in the official Arcade release?! perhaps leaving the game on overnight may suffice? if only unlock a character or two! give it a shot Bastian! if it doesn't work, you can revert to the PS2 version if all else fails!
