Everyone is talking about how Luigi did so well, but can we recognize that Yoshi saw bombs headed his way, calculated where the ball would be, dived at it to avoid the explosions, caught it midair, did a 360 spin to throw it, and lived.
That was quite a savage move right there. He caught the ball while in midair and turned his entire body to throw it.
Yoshi did a 360 no-scope in something other than an fps?

And can we talk about that with that catch yoshi made, DK would've been out right there.

I love how you can see the ball in Luigi’s glove when he gets knocked against the wall before everyone gets worried

That’s my man Yosh. Always tryin’ clutch it for the homies.
This game is one of the reasons that Luigi is my favorite character from the super Mario franchise
I mean it’s one of his most badass moments along with the Luigi’s mansion series
We also have the Mario and Luigi series were Luigi has some of his best moments
and we play as him through most of in the tokyo 2020 story mode!
We also have subspace emissary from Smash Brawl, he saved everyone.

If Nintendo showed this opening then announced Mario Super Sluggers HD in a direct I would be so hyped
We need Bandai namco to respond so we can get this game back into Switch if there’s more characters and new baseball courses.

1:36 Watch again in slow motion: Luigi remains focused on catching the ball, Donkey Kong pushes Luigi and sends him flying across the field until finally crashing headfirst into the wall. Pause at 1:39-1:40 and you’ll see that he’s still holding the ball with his glove and Mario’s team wins the game!
I thought it was unintentional because he didn't know if he should catch the ball or move out of the way because everything happened so fast.
You can literally wait 8 seconds or so to see he has the ball in his glove
My childhood. Never gets old. Still play it to this day and been playing for 10 years
