Wow and I was gonna go through the trouble of dynoing my piano myself - expression pedals, though. Now I have to rethink my whole thought on this matter. I have an 88 stage I was considering converting into a suitcase style or at least built in preamp - there's an original preamp floating around online for a reasonable price and I've been on the fence and this video is not taking me off it. I mean, I don't really need the smoked cover but all the feature adds make it a top tier piece of gear, cost-wise, and even at that the amount of work it's going to save me building it myself as well as not having to support myself on it is *very* compelling. I gave up a real piano for the Rhodes I've got - what's nice is that when I get on a real piano it feels pretty much the same to me, unlike practicing with something a bit more...plastic-y. Thanks for bringing it back and doing a great job on feature integration. Everyone should be more excited than they are about this, honestly.
I believe that the vintage vibe has some convenience and keybed advantages over the older Rhodes, but I still prefer the overall sound of a maintained earlier Rhodes, and the new Mk8. It looks like Rhodes has addressed the shortcomings of earlier models, and added some very appealing new features. I’m glad that there are options, but the Rhodes is still more of what I want to hear.
really nice tone guys. i prefer this to the vintage vibe
I'll take three!
Sounds and looks great!
Luv it! Nice presentation!
Sounds insane!
Amazing tone. Not sure about the ringmod atonal playability though… tempted, definitely
It looks like he is playing "Seu Jorge - Tive Razão" in the tremolo demonstration
Very cool!
Great vid. Thanks. What would be the benefit of having all black keys? Seems like it would be harder to reference where you are.
Hello, the piano you see in this video is our 75th-anniversary, limited edition piano.
How do I learn to play like him? Very inspirational stuff!
play this video at 0.25x and follow along

Does it weigh the same as the original Mark 1?
It sounds like a solid state synthesizer. Uninspiring.
As opposed to… a tube synthesizer?
half these sounds are terrible!
yes and 98 Prozent of rhodes mk 8 players are terrible not the mk8!
I think the Vintage Vibes pianos sound way better, at least via youtube lol.
I'd like to hear that youtube clip pls!
