    So confusing- in d website it says it will apply in certain Cmas , who has 6% and above unemployment rate. So the question is, is it gonna be per region unemployment rate or per cma????

    • @ParasharImmigration
      @ParasharImmigration  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It'll be per CMA. Different people are using different terms like region, cma, city, etc. The exact guidelines have not been published yet by ESDC. We'll post them on this channel when they become available, so stay tuned, subscribe and share this channel with your groups!

    Hi there! I’m currently in Edmonton. I already found my employer but he doesn’t have lmia. Will going to process for lmia and work permit. I got a position for Receptionist (more in office work) does will gonna affect my application? I double check and analyze all the new infos from Canada but, is it in Quebec only or all over Canada? Or we need to wait more for more announcement?

    • @ParasharImmigration
      @ParasharImmigration  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Edmonton has unemployment rate greater than 6% so low wage LMIAs will not be approved for that city, except if your employer is in healthcare, construction, or food processing. The changes are coming into effect on September 26th, if LMIA is filed before that date then it may get approved (IRCC has not provided clear answer on that). However, 4 weeks job advertisement is needed so there is not enough time to file an LMIA before that date. This announcement is not just for Quebec - it applies to all of Canada, wherever unemployment is greater than 6%. Feel free to schedule a consultation call if you need more info.

    Hello, my employer helped me apply for an LMIA on the 6th of July and I have been working for them over a year under pgwp. Is it going to affect my LMIA processing?

    • @ParasharImmigration
      @ParasharImmigration  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Officially, this rule only affects the LMIAs submitted after Sept 26th, so your LMIA should not be impacted. However, government has not released an official answer whether LMIAs filed before that date will be processed normally or not. We assume that they will be processed, but we don't have an official answer about that yet. As we get an official announcement from the govt, we'll post more info on our channel here. When can we expect" General" Express entry draw. Since 4 months it has not happened.

    • @ParasharImmigration
      @ParasharImmigration  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No one can predict that accurately, but our guess is that the number of "General" draws will be reduced a lot. Instead, the government will focus on CEC, PNP, and occupation category based draws. Better to take steps to get into those categories. Feel free to schedule a call with me to discuss this!

    • @ParasharImmigration

      $17 is below the minimum wage and below the median wage of cooks, so it will not be approved. Employees cannot apply for LMIAs, only an employer can. Feel free to schedule a consultation call to discuss further. Subscribe and share to help our new channel grow!

    Hi, In Alberta, how long will it take normally to approve a LMIA? Is it possible to approve a LMIA within a month?

    • @ParasharImmigration
      @ParasharImmigration  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      LMIA requires one month of advertising period and then as immigration consultants we need a few extra days to complete and submit the file. So minimum 1-1.5 months are needed to submit an LMIA. Then ESDC takes around 3-4 months to process it. The new rule is applicable starting Sept 26th, so it may not be possible to start advertising now and submit before the policy deadline. LMIA is processed by Federal Govt, so the timeline is not dependent on which province you apply from - it is the same for all provinces.

      Applications that are currently in their queue and submitted before Sept 26th should not be impacted, so most probably it will be processed normally. This is our prediction. However, IRCC/ESDC has not provided any firm answer about what they are going to do with applications that are currently under processing.

      If the LMIA is already approved and you're only applying for work permit, then this will not impact you. Your work permit will be issued for the duration mentioned on your LMIA, which may be 2 or 3 years - check the LMIA copy to confirm.

      If the LMIA is already approved, then this will not impact your work visa processing. What do you mean by salary of $15.50 CAD? That is below the minimum wage of Quebec - your employer couldn't have obtained a positive LMIA at that wage!
