It's not underestimating her selling power but being conservative as business is still business. You have to have a conservative approach most of the time as lots surplus inventories is not good. Plus, they have multiple comebacks in the company so that is understandable.
I know red velvet us an amazing kpop group! Very talented! But Wendy could stay solo in her own and still have a very successful career! And not just in music. But as you said "hosting prigrams"! She also is very smart! She could eventually compose, write, and produce her own music!
I wish SM was more open to letting their girl groups compose and produce their own songs/participate in the song writing process more. I'm sure with the talent Wendy has, she would do amazing with her own self-made music. She has so much potential, this girl deserves the world.
