Like I've said before, people get those old cars and hang onto them until they junk and pass away and someone else has to get rid of them. You definitely went on a cross country hike. Good video
These types of videos are both exciting and heartbreaking. I hope some of the salvageable ones are saved and that all the good parts are removed from the remainder before crushing.😢
I have to tell you, your videos are absolutely addictive. When I was a kid back in the’60’s my father would take me along to the local junkyard. I was totally enthralled and still am.
Always enjoy your videos. If you fix them up and sell them, it would be great to see before and after photos. Looove the old cars. A reminder of how great the cars used to be and how well made that they have lasted 40-50 years!!
Never ceases to amaze me how people will "collect" cars and just let them rot, until they die and then they can be sold to folks who will bring them back to life.
I've got cars I've been sitting for 30 to 50 years and passed down to the family. We've sold some off. Had a 59 Chevy wagon and yeah it rusted. But I guarantee that nearly $5,000 I got out of was a lot more than we could have gotten for it when I was a kid or about any time in between those two points. Guy pulls up I don't know if I want to sell anything I said sure but I don't sell local. He said why not I got nobody wants to pay a going rate for anything. He picked out the 66 short bed Chevy and somewhat matching more stock short bed GMC 66 sitting next to it. I told him we might start talking about at $15,000 for the Chevy. It wasn't exactly stock. But anyway he goes wow that you don't want to sell it price. I told him I don't think I'd take that little bit for it. But we can start talking and if that's too much for him no need to talk. Yes price on a couple of others and said well I can't go that. I understand. Little ship out to the coast maybe various parts of the world and bring at least that much. I know once I've sold it I won't get another one like it whatever it might be. So from a guy who's still alive currently come from family which you might call car holders. Yeah that's kind of like a hoarder and we're just holding on to them until the right person comes along. It is always a shame when usually it's a gentleman that owns them. He passes and the family has no clue or just doesn't care. You're right he's been better off to sell them while he was alive. Is a difference between selling them and giving them away. Now whatever they bring now is what they bring. Just a little insight not a criticism at all. Just a little feedback from somebody kind of on the other side. I don't have 200 cars maybe half that. Anyway there none of them are sunk halfway into the ground! Walking around those parts I think I carry myself shotgun with the right amount of buckshot in it. Awfully hard hit a snake with a pistol. I've been in that position. I hope this reply gives a little insight from the other side. By the way we are selling more aggressively at this time. I believe our host will find something interesting when I contact him. He's given the invite for me to contact him.
Nice videos and nice cars good fine from you again hopefully you saves few of those cars let me know about that 63 Impala man that's a nice car waiting for one of those for a long time thanks again
Awesome footage, wonder if there was a tornado that went through the area years ago and tossed em around. They’re in no particular rows and not even stacked inline with each other.
Maybe saw 6-8 cars worth saving, if not sitting on the ground - Can you post the day and time of cars that are not crushed? looks like a lot of the cars were there before the trees.
Lots of parts out there I'd like to have. I sure hope you checked yourself for ticks when you got outta there. Every time I walk through old scrap yards I come out covered in the darn things!
...one of the things that amazes me about all these videos in Texas, Oklahoma..is how many 1967-72 Chevy trucks there are still around in these collections/junkyards..so common, in fact, nobody seems to give them a second glance..here, in North Ga, they have been very popular for decades(I love them myself, and have a 1970 C20, in need of a lot of body parts)...they are non-existant in the few remaining junkyards, and the ones that used to sit in people's yards and fields are long gone...if you need body parts/cabs/beds, etc.,they are almost unobtanium, and folks are starting to rebuild very rough, rusty cabs and beds..I myself have my eyes on a homemade trailer with a '68-'72 bed, if the guy will sell it, it's bent up pretty good, but better than the one on my truck..there are a few guys who have hoarded parts for these trucks around, but they either won't sell them, or they want insane prices...looks like Texas and Oklahoma are a goldmine for this stuff, problem is, it's way too far away for me to go get it, and shipping on something like a cab or bed is way too cost prohibitive..somebody from here with a big field(and more financial means than me)should go out there and buy up a bunch of that stuff before it is gone, especially since nobody out there seems interested in it...a lot of guys would kill for the parts on those rough-*ss trucks , like in this video...some even look restorable..any way, thanks for the videos, always interesting!🙂
I love the 60 - 66 Chevy/GMC body but the 67-72 trucks are GM's ugly stepchild to me and a lot of others. At the same time it's the absolute favorite of a lot of people. Love it or hate it type of thing and doesn't seem to be much in between...
Thanks Bro!Watching Alberta Canada! Thanks for your Hard Work to bring out these beautiful classics. I'm dreaming of the dsy when I can literally follow you into the next " honey hole" of your efforts! You have inspired me to get my "stuff together" to get on down to Texas to grab the " car of my dreams in your state" I'm specifically looking for a 1957 Pontiac Star Chief w/ 348 auto.
Man so sad to see those cars like that I wish I could get that 62 but I’m currently broke gonna be sad to see a lot of those be scrapped but the 62 is my dream build
Excellent video here but as I sit here and watch it. It makes me wish I was the lady that said she was going to scrap everything she Smart because she looking at a really good decent little profit for herself I would totally do the same I agree with her I rather have the cash then the cars thanks for sharing this video just saying here and yes I do know the history on some of these cars but still rather have the cash my friend 😁👍
Try to save more if you can! Many of these cars are gonners, but im sure even the junkers have good parts on them. Such a shame that they are saved for decades, and then all crushed in a mad rush.
@@heartoftexasbarnfindsandcl5193 In the video, you walk up to a Skylark, and call it by name, it's sitting on top of a 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II 2-door hardtop, of which 531 came with the Hemi.
WHY ARE THEY IN SUCH A HURRY TO CRUSH EVERYTHING? WHO IS THE SCRAPPER WHO GET'S TO DO THESE SCRAPPING? THIS IS LIKE THE 5TH ONE ALREADY. THEY JUST DON''T SEE THE VALUE OF SOME OF THESE VEHICLES. IT'S A SHAME.
Poor joyce, her husband was a real hoarder.everything was junk.a real mess to clean up.i can see why she wants to clean that nice property up.i also see the govt. eventually outlawing this sort of thing to grab peoples property if they can't comply with cleanup.

Very cool............... 👍👍
Hey Bud thanks for the walk around, some nice cars and parts that could make somebody happy 👍✌️
Thanks 👍

That's the plan!
Trying to look on the bright side: some of those old cars are REALLY HEAVY, so the scrap man will be good to Joyce when he crushes them.
That 63 impala could Be a Anniversary Gold model.
It definitely is! AC car too
She's a Keeper.
