It's amazing how you can play something like this on Roblox. Roblox have really broken the barriers in the things that you can make on there now, the possibilities are endless just like the song at the beginning of the video.
The fact the description thinks this is the actual sonic unleashed just really tells you that the creator really put their heart and soul into this project. It’s very sad the project was canceled but I understand the reasons why as as a Roblox developer myself, I could see what they meant by the game being pretty hard to maintain and do consistently. Especially with such a huge community expecting so much must have been difficult too.
People: Roblox is bad and replicating things to be identical for stuff like Sonic is not possible. Classic sonic sim and sonic world adventure: what was that, wasn't listening. I’ve seen some really good roblox games, but you were able to tell that it was a roblox game. If you had shown me this, I wouldn’t be able to tell this was a game on roblox. I would be in shock, because the animations look really smooth. You can’t see where the limbs are separated, and connect at the joint l, like you can with most roblox games. This looks like a legit fan game, somebody made with their own engine.

just saying I tried this on console and experienced some bugs, the homing attack is kinda bad os sometimes you stuck on the enemy so recommend you play it on pc side the camera is inverted for some reason
If I could get a hold of this roblox sonic engine, I would 100% put it in my game and create something great, it's already going pretty well, I've made videos showcasing it

This is downright incredible for Roblox standards, but at the same time the level design in that rooftop level is pretty bad. I never really liked Sonic games that much including the original because despite being a game focused on going fast, you're constantly asked to take a coffee break to do some dumb puzzle, slow down and collect an out of the way object, etc etc. I'm not saying Sonic should be brainless as I am a big fan of difficulty, but this isn't really a good way of doing it. Overall outstanding creation but man kinda needs a level designer.
For a fangame, this is pretty cool. This is a reason for me to play some Roblox and visit Sonic creations I missed.

i remember playing this game when it was somewhere around 1.0 when i was like 8 and its improved so much since then
Even the tiny detail of the Ring in the HUD rotating when you collecting rings
