- Hi, in this video i'll show some reload animations in Counter Strike Online through Garry's Mod. I had never heard of this game until a few days ago when a subscriber (I hope he is a subscriber) suggested to me to cover the animations of this game using Garry's Mod. This game reminds me a lot of Combat Arms and Sudden Attack, which I played a lot when I was younger. Some animations are quite bizarre and others are really cool! Counter-Strike Online is a first-person shooter video game, targeted towards Asia's gaming market released in 2008. It is based on Counter-Strike and was developed by Nexon with oversight from license-holder Valve. It uses a micropayment model that is managed by a custom version of Steam.
The game features a variety of additions over the international Counter-Strike, such as the introduction of female characters, numerous new weapons and skins for previous weapons. Most of the weapons are "locked" by default, so virtual cash or in-game points are essential to purchase them. Most special weapons, skins, power-ups, etc. can be purchased with cash points. A variety of other special items can also be bought with in-game points as well.
Counter-Strike Online itself is free to play, but some weapons are bought using points purchased with real money. These weapons usually expire after a certain amount of time but sometimes can be purchased permanently during a promotion. Certain weapons and items can be purchased with points that are gained by getting kills, completing objectives, etc.

Sweet, sweet 2010 nostalgia... so happy to see them in Gmod. I always loved seeing these additional military weapons, as well as all these crazy, insane sci-fi, fantasy and anime weapons.
Early CSO stuff like gameplay, models (zombie models and guns), and maps were actually very appreciated and praised in the GoldSrc modding community. They affected CS1.6 community servers especially Zombie Pleague and Escape servers a lot. Everything stopped around 2015-2016...

Since you're currently working on a Gunslinger mod showcase, I just wanted to point out (if you hadn't already found out) that some weapons have different sets of animations depending on the types of attachments they have. Currently, these are the ones with different animation sets: SVU (I think there's an AS variant that gives it a different reload animation), VSS Vintorez and AS VAL (both have different animation sets when a grip is attached), and the L85A2 (when quad-stack extended mags are equipped).

Помню как я играл в Cs extreme v6, потому что я только в старые времена мог только это найти, позже я нашел на Ютубе другую версию под названием CSO NST 3 - куча пушек с новыми игровыми режимами и без некоторых ограничений как в extreme. Reminds me of Crossfire, and yeah, I think the quirk of Asian FPS games is to make cool-but-unnecessary decorations (sometimes it's a skin, sometimes it's a whole redesign of a weapon) a good quirk for me, the only thing that concerns me is how they tweak the stats of a gun (damage, firerate, ammo, etc-etc.), they make it better than their original counterpart to the point that it made things unbalanced and turned it into meta, leaving out F2P players, and unfortunately, these weapons are only accessible with real money rather than also obtaining it by ranking up, leaving you only with low-powered weapons and makes you rely too much on your skill which you'll only end up barely winning against them.
They could've done the same thing with CS:GO where skins are just pure cosmetic and nothing else (even much better with custom animations which it is consistent with their original counterpart), and people would still buy for it.

Well considering that Asian microtransactions tend to be 10 times worse than in the Western world, I bet you that a majority of these skins outclassed their base forms. That’s why I like CoDM, it has this same ridiculous(in a good way) design philosophy with its legendary and mythical skins, while the gun performs exactly the same.
Man i remember this back when i was a kid. There was this store which had a counter strike game and had all CSO weaponries, which they made a bootleg of a CSO game. No multiplayer and only with bots without limits. Alot of maps, avatar to choose and game modes were there too. It was fun, really fun, i really want to play it again :').

Ah yes CSO, I still remember some of these weapons back in the day (yes including the instruments). I agree that most of these guns are borderline ridiculous but then again most popular online shooters in the Asia market back then had these modes where you either fight against the entire Earth population of weaponized zombies (including a few specials + boss fignts) or the classic Infected mode but the infected have insane amounts of health. Gotta say tho for an old game some of these reloads... They were onto something for sure 👀

Korean devs put up so much creativity. Hate CSO as much as you want, but you cant deny how cool and creative the weapon transformation is, even AAA devs don't think to add something like this. Too bad it's all shadowed by greed, but at least the skins are much better than the CSGO ones.

Watching this just makes me think how *Jonathan Fergusson, the Keeper of Firearms and Artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK* would point out how so many of the reloads for the "real" guns are wrong, like the C96 reloading like it's got a box magazine, instead of a fixed box reloaded from stripper clips, or not locking the bolt back on the MP5 to reload before the HK Slap etc... However i can also TOTALLY see him enjoying some of the fun insane dual wield reloads where they're smacking guns together to cock them with the top cocking handles etc or using the other gun to shove the mags in... I would LOVE to see his reaction to these.
