Screw in tent pegs maybe a good option in rocky ground. Also found that tensioning springs also work well to absorb high wind stresses on ropes, pegs, poles and awnings.
@@gettingaroundaus I need to buy some and then remember to take a rattlegun or drill (and battery charger) to drive them in and out. So far in our various travels we haven't needed them. A bit like carrying recovery gear, you rarely use it but when you need it you really need it.

Hi Philip, picked up some screw in pegs recently so hopefully it'll never happen again 🤞

Yeah bunnings screw pegs 👌
Shame about the damage mate, hopefully you were able to get it fixed easy enough. The awning can be just like a big sail at times hey.
Yeah a sail it was 😂 got a couple of new poles and it's all right as rain 👌wasn't happy at the time though 😂
Good vid. Bloody nature will get you every time 😄
But that’s why we camp.
Keep up the good work mate.
Hey thanks! Yeah she's beautiful but also can be how you going 😂 definitely won't stop us coming back 🤙
