I would rather put 5 million into a less elegant waterfront home by the beach rather than out west bordering the swamp with the hummingbird sized mosquitoes. Taxes may be around 25k a year. I did a lot of work on houses out in Weston before it was Weston. Kind of a fake city. But Dan Marino was living there and that is where the money was being spent. Good place for raising a family that is for sure.
This house is for sale furnished, that justifies the price a bit, and it is not inhabited yet, 8 months ago the price was $6 M, I love it anyway, I will move soon
Used to be something in the US called land patents and allodial title, but that rarely exists as you never really own your property anymore because the moment you stop paying taxes on it, then a lien gets slapped on it and then they send the sheriff to take it away from you within a couple of years of non-payment.

Master bedroom and bathroom small for this price. The bathroom should be massive. When I saw the soak tub in front of the shower I sense the space was limited. You are paying for waterfront views only in my opinion. Beautiful but not for $14 million.. probably 11.5🤷🏽♀️
