On the GR counters deck, I also think the line of: 5 Mana, play thrillseeker to put counters on one of the "dies and puts it's counters" creatures, swing, then sac it to damage them, putting the counters on thrillseeker...to then sac thrillseeker for sorta a triple damage burst out of nowhere is a big upside of the deck. And ofc if you have ozilith out with this, you gain an extra counter at each stage of the damage cycling.

Standard is awesome. OTJ did a lot for the format. It reminds me of when Neon Dynasty was printed. They both added so many good archetypes and bunch of cards to existing decks
I dont play any other formats so I can't really speak on them but it seems like Standard is so good right now. On arena I hardly ever see the same deck twice and hardly ever see my own, either. In platinum rank at the moment. Theres just a ton of variety and the gameplay is engaging with a good back and forth.
@@TopMostFlavor the only decks I see multiple of are the meta decks, but there are also a ton of meta decks that all can win, so it's not just Grixis like it was for months before they banned Fable of the Mirror-Breaker and such

It's not competitive, but:
-Case of the Locked Hothouse: play stuff off the top of deck, ie: 2 lands (or more)
-Tatyova, Steward of Tides: turn those lands into 4/4 hasted flyers
-Lost in the Maze: this card is really good, it can buy you a turn or two, or tap down a bunch of "angels" that are in the way.
Very often double or even triple opponents mana. If historic, flood of tears, rinse and repeat. Historic, where you actually have the ramp support needed to depend on 4/5 drops
Per Cacophony Scamp in the Gruul Slickshot deck, it doubles the effectiveness of pump spells, creating some absurd reach. I've made the mistake of letting one through while the controller had two mana up, only to watch them double-pump and dome me for 14.
I've been trying Gruul Slickshot the last two weeks with minimal success, just never seems consistent but maybe I'll try this one.

I think you’re channel is amazing and I love the content. I am dealing with a bit of passion loss for the game. It’s been progressively chipping at me. The corporation is killing the value of these cards with reprints and power creeping pretty heavy. Not to mention that we (play group) recently discovered a source for dam good proxies of high value cards. Quite literally need our scopes to distinguish authentic from non authentic. I loved this game. Pogs, MTG, and comics were staples of my childhood but I am becoming disheartened by the business side of things and am thinking I will leave the game and community. Is this a common or is it just me.
