Well done Alex. You’ve done it! Like you, the outdoors is my happy place. Your Mum brought you up well and you have grown to be a role model for many - your videos do more good than you can know. Keep it up, stay safe and the enjoy all the life that your Mum would want for you.
Thank you so much Peter!! What a lovely message! Really appreciate the kind words, it means a lot 😊
Alex you did amazing! I am looking to do a Mighty Hike in 2023, watching your videos makes me so excited. Thank you for sharing your beautiful mum's story, so sorry for your loss! 💕

Well done Alex. We are all very proud of you. I know your Mum was with you all the way! We all really miss her so much but she would be so happy to see you doing it for such an amazing cause. What a star you are ⭐⭐⭐😘

Thank you so much Mario, appreciate the kind words! 😊
Congratulations Alex, great video as always and what a wonderful tribute to your mum, I’m sure she’d be proud 👍
Well done! I did the Northumberland Coast Mighty Hike in memory of my wife who lost her second fight with cancer 5 years ago. My daughter did the Peak District one a few years ago, and we've since walked part of it. It's a lovely part of the country, I might look at doing this one next year!
Excellent time btw, it took me 10hrs 29mins 55secs!
Thank you very much Gavin!! I’m so sorry to hear that. Amazing that you and your daughter have been doing the Mighty Hikes though! Highly recommend doing the Peak District one, it’s a beautiful route! I’d like to do a different one next time also, maybe the Lake District. Thank you for the comment Gavin 😊👍
Amazing video..Thanks for sharing with us.
Beautiful video! Stay connected:)

New to your videos Alex, really enjoying them and the positivity you bring. I did the Yorkshire Dales version of this last year, echo the sentiments about the amazing volunteers. What a great day it is. Your mum would be chuffed.
Amazing job, mate. Your mum would be so proud. Keep up the great content.
Thank you Matt! Really appreciate that mate 👍😁

My family has also relied a lot on Macmillan in the past, you are so right, the work they do is incredible. Amazing that you did this to raise money for the cause, really well done.

Hi Alex, only just caught this video. Great time I don't know how you keep that pace up. I did the Alzheimer's trek26 this year and looking at doing the Macmillan one in 2023. Well done all your videos are a pleasure to watch👍
well done mate, macmillan is close to my heart as im one living with cancer, ive been through a lot over the last 2 ish years, had a lot of help from the macmillan nurses etc, a worthy cause.
So sorry to hear that but extremely glad to hear you’re getting support from Macmillan, it’s why these events are so important so they can carry on doing great work and providing essential support! Really appreciate your comment, thank you 👍

Thank you very much Max! 😊
Well done, a great effort.
Thank you Paul! 😊
You’re amazing mate 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers Sam! Top man 👍😁
What a beautiful and inspiring video! And such an achievement! Your speed is truly impressive. I can manage 4 mph for about an hour, but that’s on a paved surface; I’m not sure how much longer I could keep up that pace.
Regarding your kit: I had trouble understanding what shoes you wear. I’m also interested in your watch., and would be grateful if you could post details.
Thanks for your wonderful videos and Instagram posts.
Thank you very much!! 😊
The shoes were Hoka Speedgoat 5’s which are a trail running shoe designed for long distances, fantastic shoes and super comfy! The watch is a Garmin Fenix 7, fantastic for hiking and trail running, amazing bit of technology!
Thank you very much again 😊
@@alexcripps.outdoors Thanks for the quick reply! I need to replace a fenix 2 - the 7 looks so much less chunky than mine!
Great video Alex. Very emotional at the end with that song ❤️ I lost my mum to cancer in 2021 and its heart breaking so I feel your pain brother. Are you doing the PD MH this year on 22nd July? I'm from North Wales and me & the family would stay in a cottage in Youlgreave for a week to admire the Derbyshire countryside. Some of the areas you were walking I recognise from walks with my mum ❤️ So ill be doing the PD MH not just for the amazing work Macmillan did for my mum and family, but also to tread on the ground we used to walk with mum. I'm starting at 7:50 and going solo. I'm really fit and healthy but never done a marathon before so I thought I'd start early ish just incase I start to slow down towards the end 😅
You should definitely feature Thorpe Cloud in one of your videos 👍
Yes! It’s definitely going to be making an appearance soon, I don’t think I’ve ever been up it to be honest only walked by it. It’s been added to the list! 👍😊
