The high fibre in the rice will help to keep you feel fuller for a longer time. That being said, any variety of red rice will be ideal to make this dosa batter. Hi, I tried fermenting poongar rice, with urad and moong and fenugreek, but after 14 hours there was water at the bottom and the rice had risen only a little, there was no offensive smell, but I don't know if it fermented well, is it still safe to consume?

The rice I used is poongar rice. I mentioned njavara rice and mappila samba. There are many other red rice varieties locally available. You can contact Maria Jenita on Instagram to get organic produce. Hope this helps

You can use black urad dal. I avoided it purposely in this recipe as it will be too much fibre. The rice is already high in fibre. Hope this helps.
Poongar rice is the rice I used in this recipe. You can use any variety of red rice. Hope this helps

Mam i used palakkad matta boiled rice for making batter but dosa are sticking to non Stick pan. I tried this recipe for first time.
You can't use matta rice. If you are using matta rice, you will have to add raw rice too. . This is altogether different variety of rice.
I add half a cup of Sambar dal too for that extra nutrition
