    Hello everyone! Today, I’m sharing a recipe for one of my family’s favorite snacks-Mixed Veg Momos. These delightful dumplings are packed with healthy vegetables and are perfect for any occasion. My mom used to make these momos for us, especially on weekends, and they bring back so many lovely memories. Let’s get started with this delicious recipe!
    Ingredients:
    For the Dough:
    2 cups of all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon of salt
    warm Water, as needed
    For the Filling:
    1 cup of finely chopped cabbage
    1 cup of grated carrots
    1/2 cup of finely chopped bell peppers
    1/2 cup of finely chopped onions
    2 tablespoons of finely chopped spring onions
    1 tablespoon of minced garlic
    1 tablespoon of minced ginger
    2 tablespoons of soy sauce
    Salt and pepper, to taste
    1 tablespoon of oil
    Instructions:
    Prepare the Dough:
    In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead to form a soft dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes. My mom always said that letting the dough rest makes it easier to roll out.
    Make the Filling:
    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant. Add the chopped onions and cook until translucent. Stir in the chopped cabbage, grated carrots, and bell peppers. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Add the soy sauce, salt, and pepper, and mix well. Turn off the heat and let the filling cool. The aroma of the vegetables cooking always reminds me of home.
    Shape the Momos:
    Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle. Place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center of each circle. Fold and pleat the edges to seal the momos. My mom always made this look so easy, and I loved helping her with this part.
    Steam the Momos:
    Arrange the momos in a steamer and steam for 10-12 minutes, or until the dough is cooked through. The sight of the steaming momos always brings back memories of family gatherings in the kitchen.
    Serve:
    Serve the momos hot with a side of spicy chutney or soy sauce.
