If you go through the boot/trunk you can put your bolts and spacers through the access hole instead of cutting your structural frame. Check out some other videos before you hack up your car.
If you read the instructions provided by the manufacturer this is how they tell you to install this hitch. It does not damage the frame at all. The manufacturer wouldn't sell a hitch that compromises your vehicle. Oh and here are some other videos "hacking up" their car as well. I guess we all have the same instructions. th-cam.com/video/EHo5VgwluCM/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/DaCzDfUerd4/w-d-xo.html
What an absolute excellent video! Very very clear, never seen a instructional video so good. Every video will leave you hanging at one point or questioning something. Phenomenal! 🤙🏻👌🏻✌🏻
Why not enlarge the middle hole to pass the spacers and bolts instead of the holes being used to hold the hitch... absolutely sloppy ??? Guys be sure to check other videos before just following one blind man off the cliff... who points to another blind man's video as justification ??? Must be a Trumpster !
Thank you for your feedback. However, we follow the manufactures guideline's for installation which is always the safest and most weight efficient option.

Totally agree with you 1000% !!!
Cutting into holes you are using to support the brackets make absolutely no sense 🤐
Glad to read this. I'm watching this thinking there is no way this is how you're supposed to do it

Wow, thanks!
Perhaps you could tape those spacer pieces on top of the hitch holes, so they're not loose and fiddly to position.
What size are the plates? I got a hitch but no plates. Thanks!
Shouldn't the hitch be higher and go through the bumper? Also, I'd use some thread locking compound to prevent bolts from loosening.
How much does installation coast on that car or the Impreza
Different states have different labor rates so visit the link in the description to get a quote at your local U-Haul
