    Hi Heather, spot on, prep is everything. Not just with GT3 but any product to get the best from it. I have had GT3 on my wife's car for over 5 months now as my prime protection, topped with Sigma & GT2 as my sacrificial layer and the protection it top draw. Very difficult for road grim to stick to the car. Top, top product

      It definitely looks like a great sealant to have on the paintwork especially at this time of year and with all the rain we've had lately! I'm really looking forward to trying Sigma, but I'm trying to resist the urge for a few more weeks so I can properly test this out!

    Hi Heather,
    Thank you so much for taking the time to understand the product, test it and put it through its paces. We agreed with everything you said and the instructions for sure can use sharpening up.
    Prep is king for any medium to long term protection product and certainly different categories of product are more sensitive to this than others. Some will show decent performance initially and die off after a month...some show issues immediately. There are a lot of factors to this but from our testing and experience, the more concentrated products do require the extra effort to make them perform. The plus side is longer term durability that is consistent.
    We look forward to the full review. When CS is paired with Sigma, that's when the magic happens :)
    Best wishes,
    Maz

      Thanks very much for watching the video Maz. It was a good lesson for me to not rush the prep, it's definitely worth putting in a little bit more effort in to make sure I get it right. Honestly can't wait to give Sigma a try soon!

    I just used this product for the first time yesterday but I just followed the guidance on the bottle,I leveled the product then buffed it off,I will be using it again tomorrow so I will try leaving it a bit longer after levelling and see what difference it makes,thanks for the great advice 👍👍👍👍

      Thanks for watching! It will probably still have cured to a decent extent especially if it didn’t smear when you removed it but layers really well so you’ll get fab results if you give it another go tomorrow 😊

    Yep I agree with Martin, great video as usual. Made a point of wash, decon, clay, compound with megs ultimate (needed it anyway) then megs ultimate polish (only compound and polish I have) then gtechniq panel wipe. Technique takes a little getting used to but the results are so addictive. Havent been able to add 2 sigma to it yet but it will be done this weekend I hope. Your MX-5 looks beautiful.

    Great video review and guide. I've winter prep'd my car last week with GT. Did just like you - decon, panel wiped and yes its so so slick and smooth and appears glossier over those first few days. I will prob further add GT protection around xmas and their QD as top up as I do motorway miles every week. And funnily enough I'll be applying to my friends MX-5 next week. Although its Black, i love that Mazda red on yours. Keep up these informative vids 😁

    Just adding to Martins, Chris and Pauls comments, prep is everything I don't like over polishing my car but I do fully prep and polish my cars with CarPro Essence before coating. GT Three sits very well on top of primers, after using GT Three it is hard to think of another product that is as good.

    Can’t wait to see when you get sigma on too it already looks amazing...I’m actually at a similar stage right now put 3CS on my daily a week or so ago and going to be adding sigma after next wash, it was more work than some other spray products but still less fussy than a full on coating and for the price and how much is needed per use it’s actually a bargain too! Definitely worth the extra effort just a couple times a year.

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same I’m really excited to try it! It definitely takes a bit more prep to get the best out of it but I really like the actual application process. It’s much more enjoyable than when I used Fusso coat as my winter sealant last year!

    Another cracking video. What I particularly like is the examination of issues you run into and how you deal with them - it's really helpful. Just a quick query, would you get similar results from a monthly application of Sigma?

    • @GarageTherapyOfficial
      @GarageTherapyOfficial 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you could argue that if you applied Sigma every month you'll get the best of all worlds especially with ease of application etc...CS is a much more stout product in terms of protection however.

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks very much Peter! I’m not too sure about that one yet to be honest, but I’ll be doing a review of both Sigma and CS when I’ve tried them out properly and should hopefully be able to comment on the differences/ similarities. I think Sigma looks like it would be more for maintenance than as a stand alone sealant but it’d be interesting to see how it performs on its own. If I can find a car to test it on I’ll give it a go!

    Heather, very well done and informative video, great you also picked up on the 'rest' period after levelling off, can i ask if it will make a difference to the final buff using a plush towel rather than a short pile towel? Thanks

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I’ve found that the plusher towels have a harder time removing the residue compared to the shorter pile ones which are a bit more “grabby”. You’d still be fine using a plush towel though, it just might take a touch longer! 😊

    Great vid. Would you recommend this over the Garage therapy Alpha wax. Can’t make my mind witch way to go

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! That is a tough question. I think durability wise the claims are pretty similar for both. Alpha has better water behaviour and will fill swirl marks a little bit. CS is easier to apply though and feels slicker. I think you'll be happy with the performance of either so I'd go for whichever properties are most important to you!

  • @johnbrown3951
    @johnbrown3951 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was thinking about this product for the future but have a bottle of WoWo's Crystal Sealant to use first. Do you have to throw away the microfibre towels after application like the Crystal Sealant. The water beading after application is really good. The gloss on your car is insane so may just invest anyway. How do you rate it against Dusters Done & Dusted Si edition as that had been on my next shopping list.

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a really good sealant, I didn’t have to throw away the towels after application either as the residue was really thin when buffing off so the towels came up as good as new after a wash. I’d really recommend Done and Dusted SI as well, it’s one of the easiest QD’s I’ve used but has the performance of a sealant as well in my opinion!
