Thank you so much for posting this. Our dearly departed uncle worked in D.C. and he sent us tapes of The Greaseman. We absolutely loved those tapes! We miss our uncle very much. Whenever we hear of The Greaseman, we remember our loving uncle. ❤

Thanks so much for this, Ellis Feaster! The summer of '87 would have been the height of my obsession with the Greaseman, as I was just going into my senior year in high school in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, DC that year. To this day, when anyone calls me "dude" for whatever reason, I say, "Don't call me dude" in a Nino Greasemanelli tone of voice, and no one knows WTF I'm talking about. He was one of a kind, in his time, and this was a fantastic trip down memory lane. Thank you!

Me neither. Hated him in NY. Loved when Opie & Anthony tooled on him. Anthony's impersonation of him was spot on.

Gawd I forgot how funny he was. a friend turned me on to him in the 80s through some tapes he loaned me. Thanks for posting this!

What made Grease Man funny was the imagery he created in his stories. Especially when a character (or himself) was in a sexually suggestive situation. At the point of nirvana, there was this "squirting" sound suggesting a natural event. You had to listen and follow attentively to appreciate the story. You can duplicate the "squirting soung" by pressing your lips together and forcing air through them by using your tongue.

The NFL strike was unpopular; it happened anyway. World kept on turning.

His British neighbor RJ was hilarious especially when Greases dog would take a massive plopper on RJs lawn..

Greaseman's humor was at times irresponsible. He was accused of being a racist but I don't think he was...yes, I could be wrong. This guy would have been 'crucified' in the last 2 yrs due to some comments he's made. I think he's learned his lessons. I might try to see if I can hear him online. He's been considered 1 of the early shock jocks but he disagreed; maybe he was more of a "pre-shock jock"? He sounds "loony" in some spots here probably like folks thought when they heard Pete "Mad Daddy" Myers back in the day. Another good piece of history Ellis!👍🏻
