It's like Francis appear much more open and free than in his older interviews. I get it when he's talking about international audiences because i'm born in 1978 and did not know what his lyrics to Here comes my man or Hey or whatever because I learned English from listening and singing and watching movies with subtitles. And I have been experiencing like any other human that my favorites in my pre teens-teens = late 80's-early 90's, is the closest to my heart and always will be. What a great interview. He cut through the Bs by answering before the questions. Never seen Francis Black in any documentary or interviews that open and just talking. And he's describing how you are on good speed or in a manic episode. Those two states sometimes feel similar. Creative force.
It's great to see him so enthused about his legacy. In 100 years time he will be considered as one of the greatest song writers of our time. I would love to know how many songs he's actually written
TOTY.. Epic ! Nice to hear the backstory. One of my favorite. Charles. It's hard to Quantify, specific Pixies, Et Al greatest. All of the recordings are Great !. CT and BTW . Mike Watt did a great punk rock opera " Comtemplating The Engine Room" an ode to his pops. I. Chinese fire Drill was great! Thanks !

Rare is the interviewer who keeps quiet and just lets the subject run loose. Good stuff!
