      As a table tennis lover here in China, I got a lot of chance to communicate with the players in the national table tennis team of China. All the versions of hurricane 3 that you can find on the official shops are not the actual ones the national team use. Their version generates more speed whilst remain the high spin of Hurricane. You can try one of these special made rubbers, they will perform better than the official ones.

      Hi Simon, thanks for the question. Between the two, I would prefer FZD ALC. That's because I feel that W968 is softer and so FZD ALC gives me greater feel when striking the ball.

      Hi Bill. Thanks for your question. I was a Hurricane 3 FH user for many years and is a big fan of it. However after trying D80, I find it really suitable for my FH and gives me a lot of speed when looping. It's still very individual preference.

    Nice video! It would be better if you can increase the frame rate of the video (or simply the shutter speed? I’m not sure though) to show more detail of the motion of the ball. BTW, I just purchased one FZD alc too, but I’m still wondering what rubber should I choose, Dignics and Tenergies are a little too expansive for me😂 if there is any alternative you would recommend for forehand that is more affordable? Thanks😊😊😊

    • @ttpassion
      @ttpassion  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alexandru, great question. Personally, I will give cybershape a pass as I found it a little heavy and its weight seems off balance due to it's design. Between FZD ALC and W968, I would choose W968 as it does have an edge over the FZD ALC in my opinion in terms of power and control. But FZD ALC is still awesome and definitely stands out for it's price range.

      @AstaMak Hi! Dignics rubber are definitely much better options. However, if you are on a budget you can consider the new Glayzer series too. I find it much better than Rozena and produce good quality shots. It may not be as fast and spinny as Dignics but it's a decent choice. You can try Glayzer 09C for FH and Glayzer for BH.

    • @ttpassion
      @ttpassion  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Astamak, both are great choices. Long 5 is great if you are already able to produce explosive shots because of the inner carbon layer. It will take more effort than FZD ALC to produce explosive shots because for FZD ALC the outer carbon would make it easier to generate powerful shots. So it depends on what's your current playing style and how much explosive power you possess currently.

    Hello Winson, Recently, I lost in the third round of a tournament. I’m playing with a Butterfly Ovtcharov ALC G1 2.0 (BH) and Glayzer 05 (FH). I’m good at blocking and backhand loops and smashes, but most of my blocks and backhand smashes missed the table by just an inch. My current setup feels heavy (187g) during transitions. I’m thinking of buying a Viscaria with Dignics 05 (FH) and Dignics 64 (BH), as I found it good when I played with my friend’s Viscaria that had Tenergy 05 (FH) and D64 (BH). Before investing so much money, I need your suggestion. I am 39 years old."

      @sumiitkumrpaul2433 Hello! Thanks for the question. I'd recommend just changing the blade first and transfer your existing rubber to a Viscaria first. This way, you don't have to immediately commit so much money for a whole new setup while you also get to test if the existing rubbers work well for you on Viscaria. From there, you could figure out if you really need to change the rubbers again. Hope this helps.

    The blade is very fast and precise.
    But, it has a really low throw (low arc).
    Therefore it's excellent for killing shots, smashes and countertopspins against higher and spinny topspins.
    For blocking it's not that great, due to the low throw and high speed.
    Always go for active countertopspins with it.
    Due to speed, even playing short is difficult, at least it's pinpoint accurate for good placement.
    It's a blade for better players and definitely NOT for beginners.
    I don't agree on the "better close to the table part" entirely.
    I would even say, that's it's an amazing blade for topspins far from the table.
    Ps: Backspin balls can be attacked very easily with this blade with the right dedication.
    It's not a blade for weak, passive strokes!

      @@ttpassion You're welcome.
      Good review from you.
      Sidenote, 2 Rozena with max thickness suits that blade just fine, if budget get's too low, since the blade itself is controllable due to the good speed and exceptional precision.
      What I absolutely recommend, with such blade is being as aggressive as the material provides power.
      Who doesn't go for the winning shot 9 out of 10 times with this blade, wastes it's beautiful potential for unrechable killer shots to the corners or the crossover point for back/forehand.
      What I absolutely hate with that blade, it's extremely difficult to play extremely heavy backhand topspins with more rotation than speed, the margin for error is extremely small and unforgiving for that on this blade.
      Ofc it's a technical issue, that's why I would recommend this blade only to advanced players with a solid technique, footwork and tactical preparation of your shots.
