Honestly, I’m glad they didn’t try to recreate the battle themes 1:1. That way, the new and old themes each have their own strengths instead of one being strictly better than the other.
And I love that you can get a badge as soon as the game opens up after the prologue so you can choose whichever you prefer the most instead of forcing us on the remade music for the first playthrough like some games did last year or not giving us the option of cha he at all. This way everyone can be happy whether you like the old game cube music or the new one. All for 1 SP
The original music is awesome, the new music is a little different but I do enjoy the distorted guitars they put focus on to give the theme more of a metal edge to it
I knew I had heard Rawk Hawk's voice blips somewhere before and it took me forever to figure out where. I eventually realized I was thinking of The Vurm from The Hex
It's interesting that the Bulky Bob-Ombs don't make an early audience appearance in Macho Grubba's battle (or the second Doopliss battle at that) as opposed to the Gamecube version.
@@gaalxystar1873every battle theme variant in the game now has its own unique intro and outro (and for chapter variants its own first strike, enemy strikes first versions), AND a thinking theme for all of them
The original was even better, if you can believe that. I prefer the sound font on the GCN, but props to the team of music composers that worked on the soundtrack for this remake because they outdid themselves, as well.
I actually lost to Rawk Hawk. He beat the first time, but I managed to win with Koops "Shell Shield" and using "Charge" to boost Mario's attack and just used Power Bounce.
Honestly having them remake this game was great, cus for some scenes like when Grubbs powers up in the original game, he just does it as if he willingly transformed. Granted this was due to the technology at the time. But the remake shows us that he used the power of the Crystal Star to perform that transformation. Pretty interesting to go through the game and see what they did differently from the original.
Def prefer the old macho Grubba theme! Not sure metal is the best direction to interpret the original soundtrack. The game has such a bounce in the original lol, that’s flattened a bit somehow. Can’t wait to play this game regardless
Haven't played the remake, but seeing how close this gameplay is to the original, you may have just gotten older, wiser, and more skilled with a controller
A LOT easier? No. It does feel a little easier at times with some of the bosses potentially having less health and the stage hazards messing them up more, but it’s not effortlessly easy. Plus I have played other games since I last played the GameCube version about 4 years ago. So maybe it just feels a little easier to me. I’ve heard some people say the same thing about the Mario RPG remake. That game didn’t feel too easy to me personally
I plan on beating the game while equipping the Double Pain badge and I did found the experience harder. I lost to both Rawk Hawk and Macho Grubba in this version.
I was thinking the same thing. Like bro, why keep going to your items? And STOP hitting the poison mushrooms. And the power jumps when his defense was up…lmao.

I hate those guys they are the worst audience ever. Bombs them, and takes over room meaning you have less star power.
I’ve watched so many people play this game when I was younger and I’m eager to see how they’ll feel about it.
Dont know about the whole voice when they speak and the music is eh i prefer the original but thats just me those 2 things the rest is ok
they cooked so hard with the music

No

Macho Grubba is a joke if you use clock-out. I no-hit him that way.

Too much electric guitar in these Glitz Pit tracks….it drowns out any sense of nuance or subtlety the original had.
In this case I think it fits the chapter's vibe, hardcore WWE style wrestling. Hopefully it's not consistent later
