- Following the Manchester Square Gardens Development Project on First Street. One of many development projects across the city in recent years, enhancing the capacity of residential accommodation and shaping the skyline for years to come.
This video filmed in the beautiful blue hour phase of sunset captures the current project completion as of March 2024, from a variety of perspectives. At this point, the buildings are really taking shape and moved on significantly from E66

Wow, Manchester has really changed a lot since 2008
Yeah it certainly has.
I love walking home in the evening and seeing the tall buildings. Manchester has become beautiful. I like that it's all in such a relatively small footprint so that I can cross the City if I want to on foot,
Very good point. Everything is very accessible. More videos to come and thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks for the update! 🙂👍 One of the most aesthetically pleasing constructions in Mcr.
Glad you like it!
Really good to see at this time of day too
I agree, it’s was a beautiful on the night of filming.
Stunning footage. It looks amazing. Beautifully shot!
Thank you.
Yes it's one of the better new builds in Manchester, but as with so many of the new towers in Manchester and Salford it looks like an office development rather than a housing structure.....absolutely brillant footage thank you so much !
No problem, thanks for watching.
Welcome to Manchester capital of the north
You’re right, it’s developing so much, bringing into the 21st century.
In the North but not really of it.
In the North but not really of it.

No problem / thanks for watching.
Super photography …Manchester is certainly growing up - literally too 👍🏻
Absolutely and thank you for commenting.
nicely done.. some fab colours at sunset. Some great shots and well stitched together.
Thanks v much - it was a lovely sunset which really helps.
Really first rate footage showing differences between the buildings
Thank you
I lost everything in 2011 home declared bankrupt etc you get the picture, been living in usa ever since, seing these vids blows my mind the change in Manchester in the last 13yrs ...
It has been quite incredible. I moved to Manchester in 2010 and the changes have been vast across the city. Its really accelerate in the last few years.
Wow
Thank you
Stunning ❤
Thank you! 😊
Read a comment on one of the forums from a Birmingham resident, he described Mcrs skyline being flat an small, bet he wishes Brums skyline looked as flat an small
Fast becoming a standout skyline.
People of Birmingham are always commenting about how Manchester is small and their skyline is more impressive…..I reckon it’s just down to jealousy. I told one commenter to come back when his city was no longer insolvent - maybe a bit harsh, but if you’re going to dish it out, be prepared to take it. 😂🤣
Southerners are rattled as hell about Manchester too.
Great video bro 👍
Thank you.
The transformation of Manchester is quite stunning. Grew up there in the 1990s and early 2000s...I don't recognise it now (for the better!)
Couldn’t agree more.
Birmingham who? 😂 Manchester on the up and up! 🎉🎉
Quite literally.
Birmingham was never in the conversation. That being said; I think Manchester is getting uglier: while they are building is boring glass buildings.
How many floors?
45 floors.

Impressive in terms of size, but very poor architecture.
