This campground is surrounded by fun activities like Medora the Musical and Pitchfork Fondue, step back into history at De Mores Packing Plant Ruins and Maltese Cross Cabin, or go wildlife viewing in Theodore Roosevelt National Park like bison, mustangs, prong horns, elk, and views of the buttes. You might have commented that it is a city campground rather than a commercial park. As commented previously it has a very short season and has to support an extensive local seasonal workforce. All in all as a base camp for the national park and western ND and considering lack of alternatives, it is acceptable with realistic expectations. I would suggest dry camping at Cottonwood campground in the national park and then Medora to reset as you did. Overall, you set realistic expectations for your viewers.
Unfortunately since the season is so short here they only have about 3 months to make money for the year so yeah they cram as many as possible in the room they have. There are 2 other campgrounds but I believe one has a lot of the volunteers staying there so it cuts down the amount of open spots. Amazing that the actual population of Medora is only about 135 year round residents. It swells in May when everyone starts opening up the seasonal shops and the workers come in as well, including the performers for the musical. They brought in scoria but it has been run over so much it is pretty much red dirt/dust now. People come from all over to work there and visit including many visits from other countries!
Yep, it seems they have a good deal of volunteers staying at Medora in the cabins and the long-term trailers next to the park as well. Thanks for watching and commenting ❣️

I voted "hate it" when you said RED DIRT. I have nightmares about being stuck in that stuff when I was stationed in ND in the Air Force. LOL
"We had a bad experience" 😂
That'll do it!
Thank you for your service 🇺🇸 ✈️ ❤️
