Another interesting video Craig, just as a point of interest, the obscuration bands on windows are merely to hide the adhesive which squeezes out when the robot fits the glass, I worked for Pilkington for 21 years, keep up the good work, good luck with your operation, I'm just recovering from one on my knee 👍

Hi I used to have tranny van and would go travelling we found by putting a spinning top vent in the roof we got fresh air while sleeping also van stayed fresh enjoy your channel alot thanks

G’day Craig that’s a bloody good idea for the window, I hope that your up coming operation goes alright your going to be in pain after it but you will probably have a syringe driver with the good stuff in it . looks good enough to me, something else you can use is reflectix (silver insulation) stuff from the Aldi centre Isle. I always fancied trying a hammock to sleep in (another centre isle purchase), maybe one day.

I had a video pop into my feed on here just the other day about those black dots. Apparently they provide a rough surface for the windscreen bond and protect it from heat and UV, And they're called frits.

Those little black dots on the glass is actually a design feature to minimize the heat so when you shut the door the glass shatter years ago I leaned against the guy's car and his whole back window blew out just from the heat and me putting a little pressure on the car.

I'ts called a obscuration band and is there to hide the bond(glue) line, as viewed from the exterior.
