    Some Further Info:
    1) Correction from Engr. @SantiagoLopez
Weak Story (Vertical Irregularity): The stiffness is not compared with the entire structure, but with the 3 stories above it.
(Check out his comment for more details + the code)

thanks to your very informative videos . dear Dr. I have a question for you where does the earthquake force has the most effect the bottom story or the most high story?

That is a really cool question. Let me answer it using two viewpoints:
Viewpoint 1: Which story will take the highest share of the Base shear?
Here: the heaviest-highest story. If all stories have similar weights, then yes, it is the heighest.
Viewpoint 2: Which story will have the highest shear and moment to resist.
Here: the lowest story. Because it is always responsible for carrying all stories above it.
      Hope it made sense.
      Regards,
      CEE

The same analysis but with the Eurocode would be great.

I have that in mind. I think such videos are extremely beneficial, when you see things coming full circle.

Hello, thank you for your videos! I noticed in the weak story analysis you mentioned the story stiffness in consideration should not be less than 70% of the above story. Well the next 80% criteria is a proportion of the next three stories above. Not the overall building. Anyways, I think to answer your question the 15psf partition LL is for gravity analysis not seismic design. What you see in 12.7.2 is prolly specific to the section.

ooh I missed that one. My brain has glitched, I mixed up codes.
I will make a pinned comment mentioning your correction.
      Rly sorry about that.
Also, thnx a lot for your input. It was strangely phrased, so your opinion is highly appreciated.
Gonna make a pinned comment right now.
      Regards,
