I take the local bus often and when convenient, AC or non-AC - and do feel the flavor of local life. Most amazing to me is the person who accepts bus fare - it's not easy to maneuver among the bus riders on a crowded bus while balancing as the bus is moving - hope this job never goes away. Often this person will help bus riders carrying a child and belongings & shopping goods - to get up into the bus from the street side or to disembark from the bus, climbing up and down the steps of the bus - while other bus riders will give up their seat for a person carrying a child, belongings & goods. Sometimes, the bus employee will offer to carry the child up the steps and the bus rider will handover the child without hesitation - and the child will have no problem being carried by a "stranger". The honest, trusting, and courteous nature of regular Thai people is simply amazing. Thank you Chon for this Vlog of everyday life of regular Thai people. It is worthwhile to note that bus system is improving - some bus stops have an electronic information board showing bus numbers on the way to the bus stop and ETA while newer buses are accommodating handicapped riders. Thailand IS trying to improve and it's great to see.
I think that you have hit on the essence of the local life of ordinary Thai people. It's not about the cheapness, but the adventure of local life. Keep it up!🌞😎👍
Thank you ,Chon 🙏 my husband and I will be in Bangkok at the end of August for 5 days. Because of your wonderful vlogs, I know we will have a wonderful time. I will be watching all your Bangkok vlogs one more time before we arrive. 🎉👏🙏🫰
@lendabarrett - only 5 days in Bangkok or only 5 days in Thailand? I hope you're staying in Thailand much longer! I will be in Thailand in November for one month.
I remember in the 1980s I used to teach English and had to get around Bangkok by bus. There was no BTS in those days and the bus was the only way to get around. It was So hot and sweaty
Love your videos. Just found your guys channel while browsing through Thailand videos on TH-cam. Love the positive vibes. Keep it going. Can’t wait for the next videos.
I wish I had found your TH-cam channel before i went to Bangkok. It's an Aladdin's cave of information. I like it especially because you're Thai. And who knows better than a local. 🙏
Well done Chon! Thank you for taking us places mostly locals know and doing things that local do...how FUN! Very "helpful and informative"! Number #1 bus looks like a great experience for local and visitors alike. 👍
Another great video F.f.T and Chon...this tour is very informative and your opinions and recommendations are helpful. Thanks as always for you effort..all your videos are well done. Hope to see your channel grow.🙏
Dear Chon, Thank you 🙏 very much for your indepth, and informative guiding tour & recommendations. You are a fantastic & BEST TH-cam tour guide in Bangkok !! 👍👏🙏
I'm a fun of local transportation system any country I go. I was looking at metro and BTS. Well, this is more enjoyable travelling around the neighborhood. I will not miss this. Thanks for the video.
Awesome Video Kuhn Chon. Well done. So informative. This is what’s daunting for tourists, the how to… We’ve been to Bangkok at least 20 times, but only braved the #1 bus this July! Loved it. Went from Robinsön to Sampheng market. So easy, cheap and REAL. Loved the older 🚎buses Can’t wait for next trip
Great video on touring the city on a public bus. I've put that on my to-do list for my next visit to Bangkok. Please do more bus videos like this one if you can.
Thanks Chon! Perfect timing for me on this video. I'm staying at The State Tower condo for 6 months, from 8/21/23 to 2/22/24. I already located local food vendors around The State Tower. I was looking for the bus # to go to Tuang Dim Sum, Asiatique & Chinatown. Bus #1 is my bus with AC👍 Hope to see you around in Bangkok!
Nice vidoe Chon. Because of your video, I decided to visit Bangkok this coming 26th January with my family. Hope we will have fun there. Not forgetting I’ve subscribed to your videos. Very informative. Hope you can show some halal food areas for your muslim friends as well. Thanks
Great video Chon, love the "simple" street food you show. Keep them coming, we're taking notes Bus # 1 is on our list as well as the route passing by Rama 3.
Chon, I like watching your video it is delightful, I feel as though I am sitting beside you thank you for your hard work. Stay safe and in good health.
Thank you so much for this video, really enjoyed the gd ole way of non aircon bus versus aircon bus...loved this type of video n i also prefer you doing the video alone😅
Hey Chon, I have been following your videos , Its all good insight. Why don't you do a series of "A day of your life living in Bangkok". You can make it more interesting of other people (executives, Doctor, sports personalities, actor, vendor ect) living a day and life in Thailand with their routine activities.
Thank you for another interesting and useful video. If you could make a video, like you offered, on all types of public buses, including mini vans and Songthaew in Bangkok, that would be great. Thanks again and we really appreciate the effort and ideas you put into the videos.
Thanks so much again Khun Chon 🙏 I’m trying to hop on the BKK bus as a budget traveler 😁 Appreciate for your info ℹ️ Cheers from Yangon Myanmar 🇲🇲 coming to visit Krung Thep soon 🙏
Thank you so much Chon, love to watch your TH-cam and i always highly recommend my frens to watch your videos before they go BKK. Thanks again. Keep it up!

did i understand that correctly that the starting point is at tha tien nearby the grand palace and Wat Pho? And the Bus goes all the way to Chinatown and to Asiatique?
Really a good video Chon....Just a question, this bus ride, can you stop or alight anywhere along the route or have to be at the designated bus stop? Thanks again for this informative video, Bobby
We will visit Bangkok in about a week and its will be very helpful if you make a video how to use the buses and what app helpful is out there. Thank you Chon

@@friendsfromthailandtravelguide ah ok, so u mean i will just track down the bus stops using the google map and look closely on every bus stops so i can monitor if the next stop will be my destination?

I have questions, in all types of buses, we need to pay to the bus conductor on the bus? and the price is the same like 8 baht for short distance and long distance?

I thought that was the same as the hop on hop off bus like the ones in Europe where you can get a 24or48-hour pass and get unlimited rides during the validity of the pass.
Usually I go bang rak to get medicine cream and oil, Chinese herbal tea, buy the pork snacks ( better than Lim Zhen Xiang of yaowarat). Eat jok prince.

Hi, May I ask, if I'm going to take 3-41 REG (47 REG) from Khao San Market to Snake Farm,
The display on the bus should be 47, right?
