Bit of trivia : The Bride of the Monster (as used in this game, and made famous in the film, The Bride of Frankenstein) IS NOT The Bride of Frankenstein. The Bride of Frankenstein is Victor Frankenstein's wife, Elizabeth. It's one of those common mistakes/misunderstandings made because a lot of people haven't actually seen the movie, and are just going by the bride of the monster being on the poster for the movie.
Is it just me, or does this game get easier and easier as it goes on? It seems like during the first few turns you have many enemies and no resources, but by a third of the way through the game you have started to reduce the number of enemies, there are piles of tokens on the board, there are tokens that aren't even needed against the enemies so you can freely use them for defence, you have action cards banked up in case things get weird, and there's nothing in the game that adds to the challenges. Unless a lot of villagers come out in a row, it seems that once you're a handful of turns in you know the outcome. Are there mechanisms that do awful things that just happened not to trigger, or something? Overall, the game seemed more interesting than I expected, but the intensity curve just seems … well, backwards.
Every monster you "clear" makes clearing the rest easier. It's a family game, made by a company who makes family games. Mass market release, a license product, so accessibility and overall ease and simplicity needs to be high
your playthroughs are better than Rhado's
Excellent. Got it in today. Playing tomorrow with my nephew. Thanks for the tutorial. :)
Thanks, hope you enjoy the game :)

You can make the game harder by changing the pickup action from "grab all items in a space for one action" to "grab one item in a space per action".
