When i was 16years old i was staying at my aunts house in London, its was aprox 2am and i heard this god awful howling/crying outside the window.the next day my aunt told me her sister (my other aunt)had cancer and she died a while after.I will never forget the crying/howling that night,it was definetly not human and i have never heard an animal howl like that.
Heard it in Michigan, started like some cat howling but then it was definitely a sobbing woman, like waves of the sea rising and falling, I lay there 2am in a cold sweat.
My grandmother believed in the fairies. She told me that certain families had a banshee linked to them. She would always cry if a family member was going to die.
We heard her wailing one night about 40 years, went to my parents window, myself and brothers window and sisters, wasn't a fox, my dad went outside outside and it stopped, saw nothing, 2 days later my mother's uncle died in England, he was O leary, suppose to follow the Os and the Macs. We heard near Templemore.
The banshee doesn't wail in america. Ireland only. Whatever you heard it wasn't the banshee. She only wails to Irish people. I dont know if you were in Ireland at the time or if you're Irish
@@galwaytribesman9289 That's incorrect one follows my family O'C, mother was an O'Donnell. I heard it myself in Michigan one night years ago, my Grandma heard it years previous to me. I had no clue what it was when I heard this sobbing, weeping woman outside my front window in late October, made my hair stand up. Only later did I think of the Banshee and realize that's what it was.
Banshees or Beansidhe. Back in 1987 or 1988 I was walking down the road at night with two Mikes....Mike Hamlin and Mike Reed. We hadn't gone too far down the road when up at the top of the trees we heard this blood curdling cry. It warbled in a owl-like way for a few seconds and then morphed into a female voice screaming "MIKE!" I stood there in amazement, but when I turned around both Mikes were gone! I was buzzing with excitement but realized I was alone in the dark on the side of Doyal rd....so I finally ran back to the house. When I got there both mikes were pacing around the front yard saying "What the fuck was that?" We all agreed it had to be a Banshee. But they say if a Banshee calls your name you will die soon. Well I'm happy to report both Mikes are still alive and well today. So what did it mean? One Mike was threatened by a fellow student who got him alone and said something creepy like "I have a gun under my seat." and "Would anyone miss you if you just never came home?" Which is creepy...but he didn't do anything. So I'm not sure if Mike was in danger or not? But maybe it was a warning? The other Mike would jump on the hood of a friends moving car (she didn't know) and when she put on the breaks he went surfing face first in the gravel. He came pretty close to death that night...but still lived. So maybe the Banshee doesn't always warn of certain death? After these incidents I had gone alone in my grandma's forest at night and cast a magick circle. After I got the circle of protection up I sat and stared into the candle light. Right as I began to break the circle at the end of the ritual....a singing/ crying female voice started singing in a language that I didn't understand. I was so terrified by the sound that I could barely move. And I noticed that my faithful dog (who always stayed close) had refused to follow me into the woods this time. After this singing/ crying had stopped I quickly picked up my ritual items and headed out of the woods. There at the corner of the woods was my dog "Bear" sitting patiently for me to leave the woods. I felt so much better to see him and get close to him. But as I approached he began to cry and back away from me. I noticed he was looking above my head. I looked up and seen nothing. Could the dog see something I couldn't? Needless to say I ran home at this point. It wasn't long after this incident my uncle Tivis died in Tennessee.
@@tinahale9252 I'm surprised one of the three of us involved hasn't. I would but I don't have the literary skill. Oooooohhh! Those ol‘ Irish ladies….can sure….tell a good ghost story 🥺😲…especially about….the…..Bansheeeeeeeeeee! 🧟♀️
I’m in America. The Banshee howled and keened when my mother died, and a high wind blew up out of nowhere, whirled around the house and was gone.
