Hey Jake, speaking of comebacks, when do you think our mutual buddy Jim is going to make his cs comeback? I saw he somehow got to top 10 in the US on premier a few weeks back.
Yeah, I mean it’s cool stewie won, but don’t be surprised if a t1 org doesn’t pick him up. Dallas was a tournament where you had both monesy and niko activated like crazy. This is probably just over inflating stew’s ego and he’s not accepting any offers from t2
he is talking about how they view the game. There are a bunch of different styles of counterstrike and he probably thinks m0nesy is the best player in the world because he agrees with his decision-making so much. Even if someone like shiro's stats are better he wouldn't say the same thing about him because he won't agree with every decision they make
Because pure stats are a terrible way to evaluate the totality of a player. For example a a CT player in the rotation role is going to frag way harder than an anchor. But, the anchor’s role is much harder and more impactful to actually winning rounds. Stew was playing entry and anchor, no one that understands CS expected him to frag out. He was there to make impactful plays that opened the round up for his team to get frags. I used to watch Richard play csgo on anders stream and he is a terrible CS player. So when he provides analysis on gameplay it’s all coming out of his ass. All he can understand is stats and they only tell part of the story.
I love stew, but he should put his ego down a bit. He was good about a half a decade ago, and says stuff like i wanted to operate kind of G2, when the dude ain’t did shit with EG, Legacy at tier 3. And the way he puts an act like he didnt know m0nesy is just weird. Why would you lie so obviously? Also, it’s a pretty bad look since some GM from teams probably gonna watch this interview
His ego ain't an issue as long as he backs it up, which he hasn't yet. Dallas is a step, but he needs to put his head down for a bit, get back into the scene, then start yapping. As for what he said about m0NESY, I ain't gonna say he's lying. He's been grinding Valorant for 2 years and I doubt he's been active in the scene. Tons of people don't follow the pro scene after all. Plus, I think I remember interviews where Stew seems like he has no idea who his opponents are until he actually plays them. Makes sense since he wasn't an IGL or a coach until EG. I think fans these days skew younger and really latch on to the "young goat" mythology because they identify strongly with it. This can lead to ad-hoc justifications about reaction time being the decider on who has impact on a top tier team. The problem with that thinking is twofold. First, the long-standing complaint about NA pro cs is how they're all pugstars who flounder against cohesive teams like Navi, Astralis or Faze. Case in point: at Copenhagen Donk couldn't carry Spirit to the trophy on star power alone. Secondly, they all forget Stew was the young up-and-comer with an ego at one point; Donk won't be 17 forever. Will the "washed" allegations hit Donk or m0nesy in 5 years? I hope not. Hopefully they'll age into Stewie2k or a F0rest or a Karrigan. Humble, seasoned vets with experience and good team-play.
Hooxi and Stewie are 2 of my top 10 favorite players all time (favorite, not best). I think both of them bring crazy levels of intangibles to their rosters, though it's fair to say Stewie's intangibles are on another level. Anyways, this was a really fun listen!
Is he exaggerating when he says this Dallas event's crowd was more intense than the Boston's crowd? He said that he didn't expect this Dallas event to be so 'wild' it's like a usual ordinary event so this expectation made maybe his reaction even bigger; thus exaggerating? Idk I remember the Boston crowd to be bonkers, plus it was a Major; surely it couldn't be less intense than Dallas and Stewie is exaggerating because he didn't expect it and because there was all the hype about him specifically; both of which can bias the person.
I fuckin hate the character maui plays, but I gotta admit, he asked some great questions in this interview. Always so good when we get to peek behind the surface, and see what's going on in teams
Why does Richard have such a hate boner for people sometimes. JKS, Spunj, and now Stewie. I love his journalism but it’s just weird. I thought after the most recent major he was going to let some of these petty grievances with players and the community would go away.
richard just hated him for what he did in EG so went hard at him for this because he doesn't think he deserves it. basically stewie just fucked off and played valorant while getting paid a shit ton on a cs team
Stewie2k is the best NA player of all time, regardless if we are talking about prime stewie or him right no you shouldnt even consider him on the same level as hooxi considering hes a legend off that alone. your basically saying "oh kennys isnt as good as donk lets jerk off to donks last demo" knowing damn well kennys was one of the best to ever do it
also to add i think m0nesy is the number 1 player atm and hes capping abt not knowing him, he hit rank 1 on faceit for go b4 it shutdown no shot he didnt know

Sadly released video to late, would have had huge numbers
Hooxi and Stewie are 2 of my top 10 favorite players all time (favorite, not best). I think both of them bring crazy levels of intangibles to their rosters, though it's fair to say Stewie's intangibles are on another level. Anyways, this was a really fun listen!
100%. stew is pretty much the heart and soul of any team. he is plug n play type too.
This has to be bait.
he called me narcissistic and i think hes projecting - banger
Icon? LMAO.
Wait wait wait. STEW PLAYS BLACK BARS?
Yeah since Go
Is he exaggerating when he says this Dallas event's crowd was more intense than the Boston's crowd? He said that he didn't expect this Dallas event to be so 'wild' it's like a usual ordinary event so this expectation made maybe his reaction even bigger; thus exaggerating? Idk I remember the Boston crowd to be bonkers, plus it was a Major; surely it couldn't be less intense than Dallas and Stewie is exaggerating because he didn't expect it and because there was all the hype about him specifically; both of which can bias the person.
i was at iem dallas and it was INSANE, however i didnt attend boston so i cant compare
Can't take Steven10AM serious i am sorry.
I fuckin hate the character maui plays, but I gotta admit, he asked some great questions in this interview. Always so good when we get to peek behind the surface, and see what's going on in teams
Character maui plays?? You mean a human being speaking his mind!?
wdym by character 💀
Stew sounds so cooked, like substance abuse type cooked.
hes always sounded this way
stew looked GASSED at dallas. no way he was 100%
he cant even get to 100%, 20% is his 100%
@@tinychamberzbro he was doing scrims at 3 am till 8 am for a week straight and then IEM happened ofc he’s gonna look super tired
Stew still #4 in all of faceit so....
stewie needs to stop saying "like" and "um" so much
so what
he's not paid to talk
The content of his speech is so good it like um shouldnt matter
im pretty sure hes playing cs or doing smth else at the same time so hes not really focused on talking eloquently
Loose cannon
This is proof that Stewie should not be on a T1 team.
I don’t think any tier 1 manager would be willing to take on the current long term risk that Stew poses.
He had a 0.8 rating.
richard's hate boner for stewie on S&B makes so much sense now after hearing stew call him out on projecting narcissism. that one struck a nerve
His speech is so incoherent for a native speaker . Or he's just really high

Stewie "the field I know stuff and know my shit is CS". also misses smokes and has no idea who Monesy or Donk is. hmmmmm
whats your point?
@@howoad if you you "know CS" you don't miss your smokes and you know your opponents/best players in the world?
@@william9322he knows CS as in he knows CS more the Richard Lewis who has never played cs at a high level
@@crimnvL what does it have to do with anything? Richard wasnt calling him out for his ingame actions. What are you actually saying?

People loved Kobe and Jordan for their self confidence. Something most athletes have. Why is it bad here?
Stewie2k is the best NA player of all time, regardless if we are talking about prime stewie or him right no you shouldnt even consider him on the same level as hooxi considering hes a legend off that alone. your basically saying "oh kennys isnt as good as donk lets jerk off to donks last demo" knowing damn well kennys was one of the best to ever do it
also to add i think m0nesy is the number 1 player atm and hes capping abt not knowing him, he hit rank 1 on faceit for go b4 it shutdown no shot he didnt know
0 dislikes POG no one can hate the smoke criminal
the arrogance is strong with this one.
Stewie is a noob 910 better
910 gang skrrr
910 the NA goat
blud has such a big ego lmao
and has the trophys to back it up

And he stood out because of it. We love him for it. Keep it coming.
Ronaldo, Kobe, many competitors seem cocky like this but its just confidence in themselves
@@crimnvL comparing them to him is absurd :D:D also if you think 13:00 is a mamba mentality and being cool ... xd its just being an egotistical asshole xdd pure cringe
When is the stewie meat riding gonna end bruh he rlly didnt even do anything anyways
Stewie is a clown, stay away from CS.
no one likes u tho, what should u do??
:0
MOe IS A TERRIBLE INFLUENCE.
Richard Lewis the biggest stewie hater to exist
Not really a hater he's just critical of how unprofessional Stewie acted in EG
How is he a hater? He's literally the only one who speaks to stewie as an adult in a world of sycophants. Whether stewie is smart enough to take onboard sage advice or not certainly remains to be seen.
Not true
He was just calling out Stewies bullshit. He actually liked the guy but the way Stiwie behaved in the end of Liqiud era and since then deserved criticism.
Didn’t he defend him when he was coming into the scene and was being accused of cheating?
stew is a washed stoner, hooxi is infinitely better than he ever was or ever will be
:0
Stewie is such a liar
What did he lie about ?
They tried to ruin his career over a cup of coffee he proved everyone wrong in the server haters will hate hes the king
you gotta glaze him harder because people still remember all the bullshit he did at the end of his CS:GO career.
0.8 is not proving people wrong.
