- So I've been hoarding material for this idea for over a month, and I'm pretty stoked to be finally posting it. Stewie2K has a very unique & aggressive swagger when he plays, and it tends to make other players react with a lot of "emotion". This is a montage solely dedicated to "YuNg SteW", and the many reactions he brings out of other top NA FPL Pros. I tried a lot of new things here, & also edited the video to display the CAM videos larger, so you guys could enjoy the reactions as much as possible. There's also a bonus ending with some funky Stewie2K related vids for your enjoyment. I hope you dig it!

To never push through the smoke is a bad idea, they smoke to force you to play a certain way that means you are at a disadvantage if you do since you're playing more predictable, if you take opportunities to push when you can predict where the enemy will be positioned after a smoke, you will make yourself less predictable. This forces the enemy to continue watching a smoked area where nothing is visible and allows the rest of the team to better position in surrounding your opponent.

For step 2, I have some tips. Sometimes, if the person your trying to flash is being nutty, they sometimes still stare at the entrance of where he's going to go for. But as this works for stewie, he rushes before the flash pops because he knows advanced players look away.

Kinda shows that they've grown complacent with smokes and their mindset of "Smokes are like walls"
Well its not the smartest play to do, and he literally does it constantly. Once in a while sure yeah. I do it sometimes, but literally once a game, max twice. Literally thats all his "plays" are which is not good for him. He is a very good player, but he has no strats at all. It wont work at all when playing full pro teams.
xCazzTazz It isn't the smartest thing to do, but it is getting results. You can tell these players expect no one to rush through their smokes and don't watch out for the potential player pushing through. At least some of these players expect and plan ahead for it.
2Shae You understand these are pugs rights. Like they arent in tournaments. Its good to do it once in a while to be unexpected, but his playstyle has some to a point where they predict it.

An old 1.4 friend once said to me after i overthinked and lost a round: don't think, PLAY. That's the best advice someone can give you when playing CS.
That's the most useful advice I ever read, thanks for sharing because sometimes I have anger issues. Same too like if you don't focus on the numbers like the round or K/D ratio just keep on playing.
Nah, it definitely helps to think about the different types of opponents and teams you can face, having various styles already thought about with a plan to defeat them in your mind, and it helps to see what they are doing, trying to pinpoint the type of player they are. That way, you can use your plan and win more rounds and win more games. This is exactly the same as something like poker where the best, of course, have thought for days upon days about the varying styles of poker players, and they get a read on the type a person is, playing a precise and planned way to beat them and take their money.
What you definitely shouldn't do is discount entire play styles as categorically incorrect, stopping just short of actually understanding your opponent and how to beat them. With ego involved, it can be easy to get on your high horse about how newbie the opponent is, but at the end of the day, whether you frag them frequently or get fragged frequently partially determines the outcome of the match.

thats not playin like a silver his aim is good yes indeed but hes by far not the best aimer in the game right now the thing that goes for him is that his plays are fairly unpredictable which hurts globals and pros quite a lot. the average pro and global plays by a set of unwritten rules for example a smoke is a wall which you dont really go through they also rely on their nades quite a lot they tend to always preaim at the same position they prefire at the same spots and they always split up the same way and thats exactly what players like stewie and brax use to their advantages they just dont play by the rules which creates some sort of chaos in the heads of their opponents cs is a mental game in the first place if you dont believe you can win you wont if you think you will miss that awp shot you will miss it by moving your hand too quick and if there is a guy who constantly crashes everything you have learned forcing you to switch up your style during the game that really hits that opponents self confidence

Looking back at this I’m still amazed at Steel’s reaction to stew killing him at 3:52 when he just stopped in the middle of a fight in the open and pulled a molly out.

Basically, beyond a certain point in skill, people don't take "bad" fights, and that can afford an opponent privy to that fact the luxury of using utility to better their chances of winning the battle. If you are that opponent and realize this can happen, you figure out that peeking might be the optimal play at times. You do risk him predicting you'd make that prediction, standing there ready to shoot rather than having a molly out in which case you are taking a "bad" fight. This kind of thing is prominent in game theory where people study games as well as stuff like the economy through a rational lens, trying to make predictions about how people will behave in certain scenarios. As a nice introduction to that topic, look up the Keynesian beauty contest thought experiment. In his thinking of a simple situation, he exposes that you can have 0-level thinking where you just pick what you yourself prefer not predicting anything. There is also level 1 thinking where you pick what you assume the average man would pick. Then there is level 2 thinking where you pick what you assume the average man assumes the average man would pick. And you can keep iterating on that as many times as you want. Practically speaking, people probably stop applying this logic by the 2nd or 3rd level, and they definitely stop by the 6th level.
A lot of CS is like rock paper scissors. As a simple example, a lot of newbies think pushing as a CT is always wrong. Well, if you never push, the opponent can dedicate all 5 players to a single goal and take for granted there will never be a CT on the flank or a CT that cleared out space, calling for his entire team to rotate to where the T side must be (e.g. you push A, so they are all mid or B). Bringing this dynamic into play can force the T team to dedicate resources to securing the flank and controlling certain locations to prevent a free push, which will weaken their ability to execute their strategy. On the other hand, if you keep pushing, you're likely to run into prepared Ts that love the fact that they just secured a frag.
