Omen, Fly Box Sets and also Big Trouble are Fox Titles and therefor currently owned by Disney. I would play it save and buy those, if I‘d not already had them in my collection. Currently Disney seems a bit more open regarding physical media releases, but who knows for how long and if they consider those titles even worth enough of their time… Greetings from Germany! Chris

Disney is the first company to stop releasing their physical copies Barbarian and a couple other movies haven’t and won’t get a physical release. I’m glad I snatched up BTILC recently
I’m going to have to finally pull the trigger on the Fly and Omen sets while I still can!
I already own Big Trouble on Blu-Ray but would love to have a 4K version. Oh and if that's the case I'm gonna need the poster that will hopefully come with it. Love it when they come with the free poster.
You know there's a new Omen movie coming out right? Probably why that box is going OOP...there's bound to be an updated one later this year. It's a great set though!
You know what that means don't you? The 4ks are just around the corner. That's why they aren't reprinting the blu rays.
Out of the boxsets, The only ones I could see getting a 4K is The Fly remake and The original Omen.
The Fly II is awesome… apart from the scene with that dog, which is super well done just sad as.
Fox titles have been going out of print for years with all of the boutiques, with the exception of Criterion. Disney has been pulling Fox licenses from everyone. I would not say it's a guarantee we get a 4k uhd of The Omen or Big Trouble. They just might make the uhd a Disney+ exclusive like they did with Muppets Christmas Carol. I would not put my trust in Disney. Best case scenario, Criterion manages to license The Omen, but I'm not holding my breath.
Criterion seems to be the one boutique label that Disney is playing nice with. I hope and pray that they will let them keep the license and do a 4K disk Kagemusha.
_The Omen_ + Criterion? I think they have better taste than that. Larry Cohen's _God Told Me To_ is leaps and bounds superior.
Wow! Glad I snagged a few of these over the past few years. The Omen and The Fly boxsets are two of my favorites.

This takes me back to 2019 when tons of major SF titles went oop. I remember it was the Sleepaway Camp sequels, Ghost Town, Dolls, The Amityville Trilogy. I forget some of the rest.

Sleepaway Camp II and III went out of print with Scream Factory. I had to go and order the region free Spanish import for part 2.
It's kind of interesting that the Omen set is going out of print right as the new Omen film comes out. It's a prequel called, "The First Omen" and they dropped the first trailer today.

I hope Big Trouble In Little China gets a 4K. It’s my second favorite movie ever after A Nightmare On Elm Street Part 3: Dream Warriors. I loved that movie ever since I was a kid and my parents taped it off Fox for me. Fantastic movie.

Glad I caught this I just ordered the fly box set off of eBay really was hoping to sit on a few extra dollars this month but worth it and I got it for under $40 brand new

Going out of print always makes me think a 4K is coming.....The Entity, The Manitou and The Omen boxset are the only ones really worth grabbing imo
I vouch for the entity. Its such a creepy realistic demonic haunting movie. One that will stay with you after the movie ends
Hopefully that means Big Trouble is going to get a 4K release soon.
I have the Fly box set and Omen box set. Glad I got them at walmart for $40 each. The Entity definitely seems like my cup of tea. I'd prefer a slipcover on it though.
I got the fly box set at Wal-Mart for 39.99 In December.
I can see Kino picking up a lot of the more popular titles, then re-releasing them
I'd be fine with blu ray. 4k is a bit overrated.
I just checked that site and luckily everything that I would want I already have. There’s a couple on wavering on, but the price is still a little high for me.
I thought Big Trouble in little china already had a 4k release by Scream Factory I guess I was thinking of their other releases. I'm gonna need to find that used with the Slipcover. I have the old Fox release of The Fly.
The entity and Superstition, road games i have the old anchor bay dvds and are fine with that
Have that Dances with wolves steel book and love it. Its my favorite film. It needs a 4k. I hope Criterion gets the rights and makes a 4k. It deserves it.
Hey CHH would you do us a big favor. Share your knowledge of movies and give us a list of say the top ten must have awesome movies in this going out of print list. Please. I heard you on the Omen, The Fly, The Entity, and maybe a couple of others but there were so many that you showed I have never heard of.

Remember when the Friday the 13th box came out and was limited to like 13k units? It’s not even on the list and VS just sold 10k copies of Existenz in a month. I’m thinking that Friday number might be bullshit
There’s no way this box set was limited. It would have sold out long ago. At least I think so.
Vinegar Syndrome are liars on their numbers. I've been a customer for years and there's shenanigans with their numbers. I remember that European Variant Slip of Frogtown having only 700 units available and they said during their Halfway Sale it'd only be available THEN. Yet it remains. Recently they put out Black Friday-exclusive Slips for Angel 1-3, and said it would only be available during Black Friday. Yet it remains. Point is, F13 box might be that limited, but didn't sell as well because Paramount had been selling that classic Steel with F13pts.1-8 for only like $20 bucks vs. The Collector's Set for the whole Franchise for $80-$100 at a time when less and less people are buying physical. VS on the other hand would be more likely to be nefarious. I've caught them numerous times, and I have a VERY hard time believing that a Cronenberg title sold that well in only a little over a month's "existence" at that price point. Cronenberg has his fans, but he's not Carpenter or Craven or even Tobe Hooper. Existenz is not THAT big to move that many units. Too niche.
I'm debating on if I should get another omen set because I got the bottom of my set wet. But I'm not that big of a omen fan I think 2 & beyond are pretty bad & the original is kinda mid. I haven't picked up the fly set because I thought they would've at least put the 80's 1 & 2 in a 4k collectors single release but I guess not. I should probably pick that up or else I'm gonna regret it like I regret not getting the scream factory Amityville set.
Imo you're going to want to get The Chosen.

Eh, Big Trouble in Little China will get the inevitable 4K from SF (or someone else) so I will wait on that one. I already have The Fly and Omen sets, bought those years ago. Vice Squad will definitely get a 4K eventually, I might wait on that one. I might get The Manitou though.
Again the fly is 20th century fox It is owned by Disney and they have said they have no plans on releasing any of their older titles

Most are Fox titles which are Disney. These are not coming to 4k anytime soon unfortunately.
I really doubt Is big trouble in little China will be released It is now property of Disney and once it goes out of print my thought is you will never see another physical release of I would definitely grab it I'm glad I haven't in my collection even though it's not one I wish to pay double for If in fact it goes out of print and now I don't have it
Shout Factory annoys me when they do this so you rush around and try to buy all the titles that are going out of print and I pretty sure they do this on purpose to make people spend more money a lot of what they have been putting out have no new extras and it really frustrates me I have the Pumpkinhead Steelbook and The Omen boxset and The Fly boxset plus I have most of the Hammer titles I have the Steelbook version of Big Trouble In Little China that I got for Christmas I totally agree that it's John Carpenter's best film I do want to see The Entity and I've never seen Road Games
Meh, could care less honestly. Already own standard dvd and bluray copies of these films anyway.
