My mom's kitchen had the red brick linoleum on the floor, burnt orange countertops and accents, but she never had the wild wallpaper. I can still remember watching dad installing the countertops. I still have a liking for earth tones as opposed to the sterile white and grey that are popular now.
😂 Thanks for the memories. Why on earth did we ever think that yellow, orange, green and brown were awesome home decor colors? And the large ugly flowered comforters and wallpaper 🤣🤣🤣
@@nowandthennn my aunt had a burgandy bathroom suite from 1978 till 2015 or 2008 or so when she got rid of it brings back memories and she had an advacado en suite got rid if it at the same time as her bathroom
Ugh, the colors of my childhood. It's why I still hate big swaths of orange. Works great as an accent color, less effective when spread across six feet of cabinetry.
I prefer this over the modern sterility of today.
my aunt had the brown kitchen I was 6 or 14 years old when she got rid of it I miss it now
I like the fact that the red and yellow kitchen also has a wallpapered ceiling!

Sickly yellow daisies and that weird olive green color. Then there was the dark orange and vinyl brick flooring. Oh my... ha ha.
People wear those kind of prints and colors in clothes now , I guess the people of the 70’s wanted them on their walls . Lol

They'll be asking the same thing one day about kitchens today: what did people see in those ugly white and off colored cabinets, etc.
