They all can sing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1990's R&B is way better than this autotune R&B garbage now. Who are they? They all can sing!!!!! amazing!!!! singers. They are definitely came from the church. You can hear the gospel influence in all there voices.
absolutely 💯! that harmony was Terrible with a capital T. they were trying a little too hard to rank with the groups back then; New Edition, Jodeci, Boyz II Men, R. Kelly & Public Announcement, Guy, I guess they thought it was just the wailing, but you gotta have harmony too
@@negralinda805whose fault is that? They had no rehearsals, apparently they won the week before. I don't know how, but that's their own fault, if they don't rehearse. If you're gonna go to a competition, you need to be prepared
I knew the Funky Bushmen were gonna get the Sandman treatment. Big man was the only one of the three to touch that log without being told to. They still may not have lasted, tho. What you don’t do is mess with tradition.
I missed watching this (faithfully) and Soul Train every Saturday night on WRIC TV 8 here in Richmond, Virginia. Please keep these videos comin'. Do you have any more with Sinbad and Steve Harvey?
Too bad, It’s Showtime at the Apollo didn’t air on a network, but it was in syndication (or syndicated). I missed watching this every Saturday night on local CBS station WCSC TV 5 here at my grandparent’s house in South Carolina & later was on local UPN/CW station WMMP 36 during the time period. Showtime at the Apollo from 1987’s through the 90’s and 2000’s was great.
The short light skinned dude has an amazing voice and stage presence but the rest of them, when they sing together it really doesn’t sound good. They’re very flat.
PRS7 😂 SOUND LIKE A VIDEO GAME AND THE LIGHT SKIN GUY CANT SING AND HE ACTING LIKE A LOGHT SKIN, THOSE HE GET IT, GET IT😂😂AND THE LEAD SINGER CAN BLOW AND HIS HOME TOWN IS LIKE 45 MINUTES FROM WHERE IM FROM, SO IM DEFINITELY ROOTING FOR HIM❤❤ LOVE THE SONG SELECTION, THE FITS, THE ROUTINE WAS GREAT!!

Eeascjkon
That first group was cold as hell especially the short light skin dude, they sounded like Jodeci
Right they were dope. He kinda remind me of Sisqo from Dru Hill. And this was before Dru Hill came out.
@@milinirudley2198 One of the members of the group got a unreleased album.

Mark Curry from Hanging With Mr. Cooper
I wanted to hear big man rap!
Does anyone know the name of the song the first group was singing? They snapped 🎼🔥🤞🏿💯
…….girl who gassed you up and told you that “sweet thang” was the song you should sang
I think she did an excellent job even though there was a mishap between her and the band on a particular part lol
Lmaoooo yeah what the hell was that lol

You already know who’s paid to be on there ….paid to get booed off…
I always wanted to get paid to get bood. I don't have any real talent so that would be great for me lol
@8:58, who messed up, her or the band lol?
Lmao
Do you have a full episode of 1992?
