Not a jumbled mess at all. For me, I just got tired of paying attention to the online discourse and having all these opinions follow me into a new game I'd just started. It ends up feeling like it's not really me playing the game. I'm not forming my own opinion because I hear the (usually negative) echo of others' thoughts while I'm playing. I've had more than one game ruined for me because of this, so now I do exactly as you suggest: go in blind and then compare notes with others only once I've played enough of a game to know how I feel about it. Great choice of subject, sir. Keep it up.

i just couldn’t take it anymore one day! 😅 it’s such a refreshing feeling going in blind and completely immersing yourself.
Thank you! i appreciate your comment! 🙂

I think a lot of these shared opinions on social media/online forums are attributed to groupthink. It takes more work to critically think, understand, and express our individual perspectives when immersed in a group echoing their shared sentiments. Always the “easier” option to agree, even when we don’t actually feel that way. Gaming is so subjective and such a deeply personal experience that every user will have different thoughts and emotions evoked as they play, even if some align with what majority expresses online. Great video - really got me thinking deeper about my own gameplay and how I engage with the media surrounding some of my favorite titles. 😋🎮
