TheWave Gothic meeting(short:WGT) is aMusic- and cultural festival, which has been held annually since 1992 with interruptions in 2020 and 2021Pentecost weekendon theagra terrainas well as other locations inLeipzigtakes place.It is organized by the Chemnitz company Treffen & Festspielgesellschaft für Mitteldeutschland mbH . With over 20,000 visitors, it is one of the largest events in the alternative and black scene alongside the M'era Luna Festival taking place in Hildesheim . In 2020 and 2021, the WGT could not take place as usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
