- The Knepp is a rewilding success. Professor Sir John Lawton wrote
“Knepp Estate is one of the most exciting wildlife conservation projects in the UK, and indeed in Europe. If we can bring back nature at this scale and pace just 16 miles from Gatwick airport we can do it anywhere. I’ve seen it. It’s truly wonderful, and it fills me with hope.”
It's a lovely place to visit, long walks around the estate are free and you could spend a whole day here. We saw lots of free roaming animals including the famous storks in their nests, longhorn cattle, wild horses with a little foal and deer. Just wonderful.
I hope you will join us as we take my cousins, here from Scotland on holiday around part of the estate and then go out for a pub lunch.

Hello Lynn what a lovely place to visit ,foll of wild life really great to see I lived at Ashington which is not far from there really thats where we had our farm thankyou so much for the video. Its a shame the car park is so far away as I am unable to walk any distant now , that's why I like your videos ❤

I love this place me and Tony go oftern. Glade you saw dear, wild horses, storks and many more. I actually have done a full walk video but it's very long. I've not put it up. Great video I really enjoyed this one.

What a great place, I've read the book about the project, and if that doesn't inspire people nothing will.
I hope you managed to hear a nightingale singing or a turtle dove purring, your lovely spaniel certainly looked to have enjoyed it.
It is most definitely worth a visit Paul, you could spend the whole day there it's so beautiful. No sadly we didn't hear a nightingale or turtle dove, but I now have a bird identifier app on my phone which I have been using a lot lately. Next time ..... fingers crossed. What a wonderful and exciting project, and how nice to see so many animals around. I loved those cows. Were they long horns? And you choreographed the music really nicely. That shop looked so well stocked, I could have bought so many goodies there!

Yes, they were longhorn cattle; a bit intimidating as some were huge and had young, as you saw, but lovely to see. It's just off the A24, you should visit, you'd love it.
Oh yes, the farm shop inside The Countryman was well stocked with all sorts of goodies. Very tempting. 🥰
Lovely video Lynn, been there twice with one of my old places of work, first time was first year of rewilding and second time about 5 years later. It's great to see its continuing to get better and better. I must visit again.

How much does it cost? Last I looked it was really expensive for what looks not dissimilar to a stroll on Wimbledon Common?
It’s free to have a stroll. They only charge for camping ⛺️

@@commentarytalk1446 oh please go, it’s so beautiful there, teaming with wildlife at certain times of the year. You won’t be disappointed. Even in winter you will see the wild horses and deer 🦌
