  • Olive mayflies are probably among most common insects on most waters i have fished so far. This is one of the easiest but very effective imitations of these flies...
    Since they appear in various shades of olive and different sizes you will have to make these in different sizes... No need to have all shades of olive of course :)

    You are one of the most amazing instructors on any subject online. Detailed and crystal clear explanations accompanied by similar close-up video...I am learning the difference between "just tying" and "expert tying."
    Thank you for so generously sharing your skill. I look forward to many more videos. God bless!

    Perfect work as always!! Nice tip about wrapping wire and thread in the same direction. Was always doing the opposite

    great video, NOW I know exactly what pinch and turn actually referred too, previously did not "catch" that the fingers were literally pinching the thread! ;-)

    Do you think its wool.d be best to always use jog hooks for bottom nymphs? I've never used them yet. but maybe I should convert over to them? I still hate snagging even tough it's part of the game. :-)

      @Oholisfliesandfishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      well, i use them all the time. I almost never use classic hooks for nymphs. Too much snags can mean that ur fishing too heavy. Occasional contact with bottom is ok... but dragging along it is wrong. Fish are more likely to eat fly thats slightly above the bottom...or even high above bottom than one dragging along it..
