There is no gameplay...because the game didn't work. Do not buy it. As seen from others: No NPCs, or NPC that don't work. Combat that doesnt work. Quests that dont work. And all of this doesn't include the login servers with less than 2k players. I have continued to try to login over the last few hours - no luck. My hope is to at least *show* some of the issues but we'll see. Update 2: still unable to login even wirh new servers. Will review once I can but expect delays.
I remember back in the day when queues would block you out for a day or 2.But that was because of high demand. Things worked better in the betas. To be honest, this a game created with their AI tech. If you're going to hold this game to the same standard as other mmorpgs, such as counting the amount of players, not expecting a "higher" amount of bugs, and a game that's truly EA....it's best to not even cover it. It'll just frustrate you. This game is an experiment that was only created in a couple of years. Who knows how long it'll be in EA.

I was randomly gifted this game by a friend and was able to get in last night about 11pm Eastern on launch day. I can confirm it is a real, playable MMO that has quite a few features in the menu, such as housing, pets, crafting, a dungeon selector with solo or party versions and difficulty selector. I did not play long enough to confirm all of the features actually work yet. I had to wait a few seconds for NPC's to pop-in sometimes, but the newbie quests all worked. I was able to kill a few mobs, get a pet bee, fish, and run around town. They obviously are having major launch problems so maybe wait a few days before you buy it, or condemn it as a scam. Whether or not it is a *good* MMO has yet to be determined, but it is not an outright scam.

I happened to see another stream, I believe it was Kysen's. He tried to roam a bit but it seemed he had to follow a path instead, so open world at that point was just an illusion. Combat was slow but seemed smooth, however while he was killing a mob, other mobs just stood by idly - 'I don't care if you kill my bro'.
This is what it looked like since the reveal, a couple people with no knowledge, vision or artistry putting together a store bought mish mash of art, assets, animations and systems to "make" an MMO...
I don't have problems with people using assets. I do have a problem with an mmo that clearly had no direction. Even the fact that they released with 3 servers that couldn't handle 2k players as well as a cash shop is enough for me to sugged people steer clear of this one.
I respectfully disagree whole heartedly. If "they're rhe same because they both of unity placeholder ui's is what makes then the same there's so much more. Can even start with server stability but go farther into actual game direction and target audience and having a public face and communication. Not to mention quinfalls official launch is supposed to be in 6 months.
@Redbeardflynn tbh I think you just need to give Quinfall a shot. I'm honestly having a lot more fun with it than I ever did in Pantheon and I'm having zero server issues. I just finished my first dungeon and it was honestly one of the best experiences I've had in an mmo dungeon. It was very innovative. This game has a lot of things going for it.

While doing so after stream I watched others play what looks to be a generic game largely copy and pasting BDO with heavy use of AI and even the inclusion of mtx. It looks and feels soulless. I will continue to try but this is below the expectations I had for it which were already low. There's simply no excuse for this many issues with that few players. That said. If you're having fun im happy for you and hope you continue to.

Quinfall has enough differences to set it apart from BDO though. Personally I thought BDO was bad when I tried it and quit after a few hours. This on the other hand has me hooked. I wouldn't say games like this hurt the genre. It was well documented the the Quinfall would probably be garbage. And they just proved what was claimed to be correct. If this was a game a ton of people was looking forward to, then yeah, it'd effect the space. Like Cyberpunk's launch on consoles.
I actually would prefer creators not give MMO's/games like this attention. I think it incentivizes devs to make cash grab games, as content creators are gonna buy it just for content and a lot of their viewers will try it out just to maybe play with them. I get it and am not throwing shade at you or anyone who chooses to do so. I just wish this wasnt the world we live in - shit games are content and good games are a pipe dream. But we're all so desperate for a good game...

First day early access. Expect crashes. Expect quests to be broken. That all being said, Quinfall REALLY needs more options for handsome men. The males in Quinfall look so ugly. I struggled with the character creator for 3 hours and there was no making anything that looked good. Quinfall needs character presets like Throne & Liberty character creator.
I bought it and dont regret it lol game is actually fun people just dont have patience. Pvp open world was good the dungeons were good, crafting, mining, harvesting taming, fishing, farming, its all there you just had to give it a chance, not the first game with a horrible launch.
Ive played planty of online games with 10k or less that have a ton of server problems, got to level 20, did my dungeons, just seems like a jank bdo/archeage, for 20 bucks its been decently enjoyable.
You do not have to give your money to bad games. You can give your opinion on a game you do not intend to play. You just give your reasons why you do not think it's worth your time and money. I hope you got a refund.
Because of everything they've said and done for the last year and a half from lying and hiding things to attacking creators, to making a game like this that 100% feels like they're flipping assets with minimal work and what it actually *does* to the MMO genre when things like this happen.
Except that it has 2k players. Games do not have issue with that few players if they're trying to be an MMO. And those who do get in are finding non-responsive npcs, they're finding quests that dont do anything or work, its just...bad. It was going to be bad and still is.
Im sorry, but companies cant hide behind this label anymore. They should not be allowed. The beta played a year ago had the same issues it has now. What did they do in 1 year? They prepared bank accounts for early access.
I just downloaded it 2 hours ago and haven't had any of the issues you had in your stream. I chose US Chicago for a server and haven't had a single disconnect or any of the problems you pointed out. The game isn't a scam. You casted shade on a game because you couldn't connect on day one of an early access release on a Friday. Shame on you.

Its honestly no different from Pantheon. Ive played both and both are fun in their own right. Both use premade assets (even the same skill icons).
