- -Translation:
This song was very hard to translate. Usually I have people that can speak specific languages to help me with the translation, and/or a site that lists the full lyrics of the song. Both of these weren't the case on this one so I had to try my best and listen to what was being said, trying different combinations of letters sometimes word for word using sites like this one: www.limburgs.net/
-History and the language of Limburg:
Limburg is the most southern province of the Netherlands aswell as it's highest province in elevation whilst housing about 1.1 million citizens. The province knows a rich history that can be traced back all the way to the pre-historic period. Limburg was the first area of the Netherlands where argiculture and a sedentairy lifestyle was adopted by its inhabitants.
Limburg has it's own dilect wich is very different from standard Dutch. One of the most clear example of it's uniqueness is the German influence on the dialect. Limburgisch is hard to explain to people who can't speak at least dutch or Limburgisch, but it's usually stated as a bridge between western German dialects and Dutch.

Ik ben soms toch zó trots dat ik uit Limburg kom
Heel mooi liedje
Wat een mooi liedje. En ook een heel interessant dialect, een soort mix van duits en nederlands
Beautiful music. Very impressive that you translated this. I subbed.
If u did not know I’m from limburg
you should post more folk songs from around the Netherlands.
this is amazing bro
I have friend from Limburg
Ik denk dat 0:14 helemaal niks met wilgen te maken heeft. 1:08 "het roesjende koren (graan)" is en 1:20 kan misschien "ik ken al die wegen door de paadjes" zijn ? Heel onzeker over dat laatste. Ik ben ook geen Limburger
What is a limburg?

Luxembourg
