Great review! I figured you would try this one out. This is definitely a projector for the masses for sure. I love how they did this AND the U2 Pro with levitating speakers. Keep up the great review work and thanks!
Did you try Dagbei U1 and/or Formovie/Fengmi R1 Nano? Apart from the chinese interface (which you can patch, sort of), they seem very promising and brighter and more color accurate than this one in the reviews I have seen...
I bought a $300 dollar 70’ 4K tv last Black Friday. 600+ for a janky Chinese projector that can ‘t get close to native 4K and will break with no support in a year ? Strong pass.
Well, if a TV is an option in your budget, then it's usually the better choice. Its brighter and colors are not washed out. However, I think this has its market too. This can project a 100" image with a short throw distance if your room is dark enough. Try finding a TV of 100" and you will see how much it cost. Plus it's portable, provided you can find a white wall or a foldable projector screen. Reliability of TVs seems to be partially luck nowadays.... They are no longer as reliable as they used to be, especially the lower end rebadged TVs sold under reputable brand names. Then again, it's a trade-off for the low prices. Had a branded 32" TV that last me only 1.5 years before the power supply started giving issues despite low usage.
Who wants to come over and watch a movie? 🍿

$1200 is not budget
hi do u know any short throw projectors or long range under £800 that can do around 120 inch from 2.5m from amazon uk.
Check out the Epson ef 11 or the ef 12
Can you invert the picture
Does this projector only display at close range? How is its projection from about 5 - 7 ft away from the screen?
It wouldn’t really work from that far away from the wall. It’s best when positioned within about 1-2 feet
I need to project an image 24" wide by 18" high. Will this projector do it?
No
i got this projector. i can't find a way to change the projector volume with my roku remote. does anyone know if it's possible? do i need hdmi cec

This is not the best "budget projector" you can get and 800 ANSI is poor.
Can you recommend an alternative short throw projector for under 1k?
What would you recommend
Still waiting on that best...
