Hi! Can I plug just one TB 4 cable to the new iMac (M4) if I don't want to use all the displays anyway?! If I just want to use one 4K display... is this thing will work with only one TB cable plugged to the computer? Thanks!
@@EazyKamikaze Great question! I just tested this and unfortunately it seems if you only use 1 cable, the entire hub won't work. My display was connecting, but some of my connected drives weren't connecting. So I'm assuming you'll need both TB4 cables plugged in at once to utilise the entire hub (including display).
@@NickKendall Thank you so much for testing this out... well it seems that I'll use 2 of the new iMac's 4 ports for the iVANKY! That leaves one port for a fast 2T SSD and one for my sound interface...
Yeah, I haven't heard the sound recently which is good. Still have the odd intermittent issue with the front USB ports seeming to disconnect. Not sure why.
I’ve heard some reviewers say that the 40Gb ports are USB 4 and not thunderbolt. I have devices that are thunderbolt only and do not work with USB 4. Will they work with this dock?
@@Joe-rd8vk Awesome!! Just picked one up myself. A lot of reviewer say USB C. I finally found the Ivankey details that has them labeled as TB4. I have some devices that are TB only and will not work with USB4 so it’s good it has that.

Now that's a dock! Thanks for posting this video Nick!
Thanks for watching Asan :)
Does it look more slate grey like the new mac color or does it look more blue in person ?
Definitely more slate grey with a very subtle blue in person. It's looks more blue in my video due to the color grade!
Hi Nick excellent video, i love this dock, but it caught my eye that external drive than you have in your desk, which one is it?
I think you're probably referring to my Graugear enclosure :) I have a video on it on my channel! th-cam.com/video/EZA64r96j2Q/w-d-xo.html
Compared this to a Mac Mini M2 - M4, Mac Minis are a steal!
Any updates on the issues

Yes, mine works perfectly fine with my TB4 devices.
