You must be in the southern hemisphere. Shortest night here. Stoked you’re playing the new Moog. The most austere and wild ambient sounds I’ve heard from Spectravox.
Ah! Mispoke. Meant longest day of the year. Northern hemisphere. Still have some mixed feelings about the Spectravox. Like all the Moog Semi-Modulars it has a handful of quirky limitations that make it a challenge to work with in isolation. I'm going to trying pairing it with some other modular stuff later this afternoon.
It's a really great unit. In isolation it doesn't really excel at one thing. However, I think it will greatly expand the sound palette of the sound studio. The spectral shift is really fantastic.
This is superb !! Well done . I’m puzzled , is it just your guitar direct in the input of the Moog ? No pedals ? Would love to know how you came up with these sounds :)!
Glad to clarify. It's just a telecaster running directly into the Spectravox with an instrument cable. No amps or pedals before the Spectravox. The Spectravox is running into an Oto Bam utilizing a non-linear reverb. Basically Guitar->Spectravox->Oto Bam->Audio Interface.
@@riotbell5365I keep coming back to your video… I think I might buy a Spectravox just because of it 😁 I so love those eerie organic tones! Thank you so much! 🙏
I am hearing the sunset on Arrakis....
Thanks! Always striving for the Dune vibes.
Great sound, very organic ! 🙌
Thanks, I really don't have a good handle on the Spectravox yet. It wasn't what I was going for at all initially, but I think it came out well.
Sounds of the afterlife 💥
Things came out a bit more eerie than I was initially expecting.

@@riotbell5365 the upcoming Labyrinth looks more interesting.
@@jon_gee No kidding! I was stoked when I saw that leak. Hope it comes out before the end of the year.
Wow, incredible drone. Magic. I love it. I plan to buy a Spectravox to complete my Moog Sound Studio ;-)

@@vincewizz8534 Thanks, glad it's providing some inspiration.
You could’ve done the music for Midsommar!
Ha ha. Thanks! That's flattering. Maybe not, but it would have been a pretty different groove for sure.
