The door closing sound, sounds like an air raid siren. I would get PTSD if I heard that as an old person who lived in Berlin during WW2 😂. Please take it with humor. The chime is very unique and cool to be honest. Just a bit too “the world is going to endish”

There are no turnstiles in Germany. You just validate your ticket on the platform, and they do spot checks with a major fine if you don't have a validated ticket.
The IK's are most popular on the U2. Their service on the U5 is limited (in the time that they're used). They are Tube stock and therefore smaller and therefore not as usefull on surface stock lines like the U5. They're only used there because theres a large lack of surface stock in working condition

This is very clean compared to New York City's subway system. No garbage on the train or on the subway platform. No rats running through the tracks.
You will find garbage on our trains too sometimes, but i saw never any rats here.
You can see mice sometimes running on the underground tracks^^. I guess that's just normal to a certain extent.

Munich's third generation U-Bahn trains have a very similar door closing sound. Always has been my favourite.
