  • Working as a Journeyman Welder requires plenty of physical demand. This demand must be fueled by a hard and nutritious diet. Though I will admit I don't always eat the heathiest, I do try to improve the quality of the food I consume to help keep me full and fueled on a jobsite. This is an example of the type of meal I will make for work. If you would like to see more videos like this, let me know in the comment section! Enjoy!!

How were you able to heat up food on a job site?

I have never worked on a job site with a microwave so I have had to resort to other means of heating up food. Normally I package my food thoroughly in tin foil which allows me to set it on top of a welding machine that has been running a lot or on top of a dozers hood or the truck hood. I have very rarely put it near hot metal from welds but I assume that would work. Sometimes I will leave my food on my dash on a hot day and the sun will make it very hot. I have never used an oxy fuel torch to heat up food. I’ve seen other guys with portable heaters on very cold days. Sometimes I don’t heat up my food as it is too much of a hassle and too time consuming. If I see any other methods, I will be sure to add them here for you. Thank you for commenting!!
