Yep been using mine for about 6 years and it was a game changer. All of my original music has changed drastically since. Now I use a Sustainiac instead
I work for a company called sound stone supply, also there is a guitar product called the sound stone. a guy called me at work and wanted to return his sound stone, I told him we sell stone not music products and he had the wrong company, he proceeded to ask me how to return his sound stone and sounded offended as if I was on the hook for helping him despite having nothing to do with the product he was trying to return
One of the main tips from the instructions I used to have back in the day is to roll you tone off and volume to about half to make it sound sweeter and match regular output. You can mimic Bowing strokes and sound like a violin or cello or flute, French horn, etc based on some different techniques. I used to have the instructional tape when I first bought mine in the early 2000s and the guy on it was amazing with all the sounds he could mimick.
You can cut this out by installing a sustainiac. It's an active that sounds like a passive single coil, and the added bonus is it drives the strings to sustain forever or go into harmonics and sustain forever depending on the switch position.
That riff kind of sounds a bit like the backing guitar for the beginning of RATTLE. Like if u put the electric riff on top of that, I’m pretty sure it’d be RATTLE
What guitar is that? Does anyone know? It looks like a strat, but it's shaped slightly different and the pickguard is more like a Tele or Mustang. Is it an Ernie Ball Music Man?
I’m not even a guitarist, and I found this extremely fascinating!!!
Y
@@andywill5354why not?
I've had an ebow for over 10years and everytime I use it I get compliments 👍🏻
I've had an elbow for over 20 years and everytime I use it I get physically restrained.

“E is for electronic, not because of my name” 😂😂😂
Phil Keaggy's EBow rendition of "Amazing Grace" is legendary!

Worship guitarists: “so I put reverb on it” yeah we know lmao
The coolest e-bow song is "Supernatural" with John Mayall & Blues Breakers with Peter Green on guitar. Best instrumental song ever.
I finally picked one of these bad boys up last year and have been using it in worship! So fun.

There's a similar sounding guitar parts in drive home by Steven Wilson. Very interesting sound
That's so cool man.
Def Leppard’s album hysteria has so many songs that use this! Cool tool
It acts the same as a sustainer pickup, so basically a portable sustainer
Roll off the tone knob. Sounds so much better!
drummer of 20 years. This stuff is so cool to me! it’s like a trigger but better 😂
Woooaah! That’s powerful
My guy invented feedback lol
Phil Keaggy is an ebow master. Check out his old songs from the 70s. Cool the elbow is still around.
That’s super cool invention
Top demais! Amo as músicas inspiradas pelo Espírito Santo que vocês tocam. 🔥 Jesus ❤️❤️
Adam jones I think used one is these on the track "Lost Keys".
The tension it creates is incredible
That sounds awesome
You should show some James iha to show people what the heck that thing is capable of. Also an explanation of what electronic string synthesis is too.
This camera work
that is so sick!

James Iha Smashing Pumpkins used this and I’ve been in love with it ever since
Sounds like beginning of day tripper

You used to be able to get these used for about $5 in the 1990's.
Sick!

I met you at Kingdom bound this year! What are the odds elevation rhythm goes back?
Pink Floyd probably had one of those they got from aliens 😂

Sounded like shit until that reverb was turned up, then it was an ethereal flying stingray!
waiting for the tremolo part that was advertised
Reminds me of Ghosteen
Linkin Parks Brad Delson uses one on No More Sorrow in the beginning.
Check out the Scottish band Big County. They used an e bow a lot.

Jimmy page got that sound with an actual bow
I'm pretty sure Mike from Incubus uses one of those to play Pardon me at the beginning of the song
E bows have been around for 40 years....😅😅😅😅
Alrighty then, picture this, if you will
I wish they weren't so expensive
Yes sir, me and my worship leader were talking about that song and when I mentioned you used an ebow in it, she looked at me like I was crazy 🤣
What pedals are you using
i saw him doing that on lion
Rick Nielsen entered the chat.
TOOL - Lost Keys
How you reckon that thing would sound with a sustainiac pickup?
It sounds like sustain. How does this take the place of tremolo picking? Am I missing something?
Siempre me habia preguntado que era eso!!
2008 called and wants its gear back
What model strat are you playing?
Steve Via and other Use them Now ... Smashing pumpkins and Faith No more !

Believe it or not EVH used the ebow a few times.
"The E stands for Electronic- nothing to do with my name". Like, why would it? You can't take any credit for this.
Not intending to take credit. Just a lighthearted pun!
Tremolo picking? Not really. Sounds dope though.
Ohh sheeiitt its only been around since the 70s dude 😂
bro holding the camera needs to chill

Yo, what r u doing?
Have you tried a sustainiac?
I haven’t! Would love to though
Floyd
Does it work for bass tho?
yes it does, band called Gong use it quite a bit in their modern lineup. Having two guitarists and even a bass at one point using them.
Sounds like something by MUSE. Were they an inspiration, by chance?
Cual es El nombre del aparato
EBow
Was this used in rattle ? 🤓
I'll pass
Camera man needs to learn to stay still
